ParticipantHey Rich,
Here’s another question – when are we going to see the final version of the rules and classes for IMI and The Track?

Participant:usa: Well Hello USA! I am racing the DD2 in a field of 51 this season. I had my left hand run over by another kart last year when my hand was on the steering wheel. It ended my season last year after six races luckly he missed my head as he went by I had one word and it wasn’t what’s up Andy. I was up to mid pack as far as times and looking at what new tires would do for me the next week. We race on Wednesday nights and most except for myself and two others are arrive and drive people. The shop maintains their karts or they work on them there. We get fuel and a dinner afterward the race it makes for some good moments after the heat of battle has cooled down. I miss Colorado and the great people that I got to race with and all who enjoy the karting enviroment. Thanks to all who have helped me over the years. A special thanks to Doug for walking my friend. Looking for tuning tips and anyone who wants to come up North and help me they would be welcome. Craig Mansfield

InactiveVery dissapointed :bang with the respsonse of track owners==NO RESPONSE! Those questions that I posed and Charles posed are important to racers determining what they are going to do this season. 😥
No one is saying anything, promoting anything. When this is happenning something is going on in the background. I guess we have a dysfunctional :argue set of leaders in the CO karting community.
I have a suggestion: :idea I think somebody ought to buy all five CO kart tracks and run it under one umbrella-one set of rules, sanctioning body, divisions, spec tires, costs, one of everything, etc
Rod-long club? I think that below temp in the hills is warping your brain. :liao:
Craig-you run on a wed night up north? Seems strange. So you moved up to DD2. take care bud, miss ya in the pits. glad to hear you wern’t hurt. Be good and safe!

ParticipantRich…..
Maybe everyone is hung-up on the word “suckie.” I to tried to find the definition but no luck, this may have thrown everyone a curve. The Urban Dictioary had somethings that were close but said “suckie” had not yet been defined. 😕
I did consider buying all the tracks, karts, fuel, tires, ect West of the Mississippi but choose to loose all my resourses in the stock market instead. 😥
OOOOWELL.Anyway, everything is going to be fine….remember HOPE and CHANGE, HOPE and CHANGE. :bang
I’m sure great things are happening, stay tuned :wave

ParticipantRich, haven’t you heard. Rocky’s Auto got a 1 billion dollar ear mark from Obomer to buy all the go kart tracks in Colorado. The EKR (equal karting rights) plan is to eliminate high cost to every one by only allowing pre Bush era karts with maximum 8 HP imported clone motors. You can turn in your obsolete equipment to join in on the action and receive a one time $500.00 coupon which can get you up and running in this new exciting plan to even the playing field. There will be no pit fees and no trailers allowed, free bungee cords are available at sign up at which time each racer is given one new tire, 1/2 gallon of spec E85 fuel and a 3 foot club to bash your way to the winners circle. Transponders are illegal and need to be replaced with power saving sun dials. There will be more details revealed about this great karting stimulus plan, but we must hurry to get it going before we loose everyone that supports kart racing.
If it creates even one new karter the EKR will be deamed worthy for all and mandated nation wide.
So get on board and bring your obsolete equipment to me to receive your coupon today! This weekend Get Bent Racing and Black Flag Racing is putting on a pork sandwich party for the EKR to celebrate the end of karters with an advantage over others. :kingFebruary 10, 2009 at 6:14 pm #62374cgordon
ParticipantHey Craig,
I’m glad to hear you’re still racing. Sounds like you have a good group of karters up there. Go out and get one of those new Rotax clutches!

ParticipantRich, you are demanding, at least you don’t have to be a star to be in my show. Mike always seems to have his high beams on. You know Craig did get hurt in is pursuit towards happiness which ended his summer season and may have affected his winter Curling competitions. Nice to see you posting here Craig, give us a link to your Karting Commune please.

ParticipantRich,
We are making progress on the new track. I have been getting dirt in 6 days a week to fill in the old pond and raise the new pitt area. The MX track will be completely moved in the next few weeks and we will survey the track layout and start moving dirt! We have pretty much finished the design and are having the drainage study finalized. I have made a deal for the 500′ of 52″ concrete drainage pipe we will need to go under the track. I just bought a Cat scraper we are blueprinting to get started moving 30000+ yards of dirt. We will be updating the website soon with the class sponsors for the CSC and IMI Club races for this season. Support for the CSC and the IMI Club races has been more than expected and I look forward to a good racing season with a grand opening of a new unique Kart track for Colo.
I don’t care how long it takes as the best part is building the track and moving the dirt, I am in no hurry. It would not be the same if I hired it out to a bunch of who knows what. The first race on the new track may be the last CSC race.
