You more than likely have sludge in the fuel pump, take it apart and clean it and if able orient the pump so the pulse line drains back into the crack case. Pump a rounds require frequent cleaning or the balance between supply and return gets out of whack.

Cr’s are very forgiving as far as the main jet is concerned, you might try to rev it on the stand and in gear to see if it will build rpm’s in a quick and clean manner. If it wont rev or it takes quite a bit to get it cleaned out, you’re probably a little fat.

The range of jets we used on a pwk is 142 to 165 main, the needle however is very critical for transitioning to the WOT circuit. If you find it difficult to deliver a smooth application of throttle through corners, it’s probably your needle selection and / or clip setting. This can really create a hand full to drive.

If you forward me your e-mail address, I’ll send you some (more than you ever bargained for) very useful tuning information to absorb.

Also, if you haven’t gone through and replaced the fuel lines, do so. it is cheap insurance. Take a photo of the plumbing before you disassemble and make sure you route the lines properly.

Cr’s also have an inherent potential for the coil wire to fail or become intermittent, keep an eye on this and possibly upgrade the spade connector to a good quality unit and run your wiring so it has no pretension on it.

As a long shot, make sure there is no obstruction in your pipe, a forgotten rag in the exhaust manifold can be a very frustrating problem to trouble shoot.

Good luck and have fun with it.

Those onboard camera’s are so cool to have.

He had such a great run, I’m imagine he can’t wait to have another crack at it. It is also great to have most of the front runners come from Colorado and have them to calibrate with all season. I think Christian moves up, not sure about Austin? One more year of S-5 for Ryan? It was a great run for all the Colorado boys in S-5!

Is there any onboard of the main, heard someone got up on him, but have not seen anyones footage of it, but assume it happened at the start as it didnt look like he got in a lap? Did he have trouble getting going?

Happy Holidays and belated Happy Birthday (yesterday) to Ryan!

That’s awesome Robert! You are a good man.

It just broke my heart to see something like this happen to a good American, we just seem forget too easily. I would participate at any level I could, if he wants to do some track days or race competitively I would be happy to throw some wrenches around his new ride.

Please keep us in the loop and let us know how to best meet his needs.

If he ends up with a new machine, maybe we could do a tire drive or season pass to the track of his choice or something that would enable him to support his way of healing.

    Let me know.

14hp Stratos karts, 31second laps, 8 minute sessions. Greg pucked :puke the crank out the front of the engine on one of them!

Are they new machines Doug? Seems kind of early on to be getting bad press!

The Super Nationals is the ultimate goal and they have a nice big field there

They (Supernationals) have a very large Tag Masters field too. With some very good talent!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family, we cannot even begin to know how you feel.

    Godspeed Taybor.

Our hearts also go out to the fellow racers and their families and all at the CJKC as well as the crew at GJMS.

Losing one racer was a very difficult thing for the families and racing community to go through, now this… there are no words.

    Lord have mercy

    RIP Tay Tay
