I can’t help you Nicole because we have only run Icc in the shifter there but seems like a little lower ratio than the spec moto would be a good starting point. Maybe Welch, Kistler, Waterman or some of those guys can give you a good starting point.

    Tom,

Actually they have such a stiff sidewall, you don’t need any air.

My Family had a great time, my little one even dressed up with the Nascar suit, my oldest one wants to practice a few laps this coming weekend and my wife is going to give it a try as well…. no bad.

Your little one just melted me, she is so cute and looked very cool in her driving suit. Be careful letting the older one try it or you may have to get a bigger trailer sooner than you thought!

We appreciate the support and great comments we received from other drivers, we are still learning and willing to hear feedback and apply new concepts, such as better race lines (Mr. Mike Jansen)

Mikes one of the best drivers out there, we just need to slow his hands down this year (don’t we Mike) he helped Roman so much when he was starting. So many good people.

Even Luis with a bad rib injury was so in to it that he raced the whole thing…. (He is paying for it now Laughing )

I’ve injured my ribs racing Super Karts twice and not stopped racing. Prayer may be the only thing that can accelerate an injured rib to heal.

Great to see you also at the track and even better yet knowing you are back on the game.
(time to change my avatar for the new look)

Thanks, I’m doing pretty good. And you need to update your avatar to show off your new look!

    See you at the track,

    Rick

    Sorry Jack,

Nothing on mylaps yet and I looked at the sheets that were posted, then had a few beers (and those darn yeager-bull things) and can’t recall. Is Cody going to run one of the classes? What are the Utah boys doing this year anyway?

I just noticed in rereading your post Ian. HAPPY BIRTHDAY brotha!!! 😆 :rotate: :loony: 😉 ❗

We’ll have a cool one when you return!

Sorry but I cannot disagree more strongly with “No Harm No Foul”.

Easy big guy! I was speaking of this being in the past tense. Only thing we can do now is learn from it and not do it again. I obviously feel strongly as well or would not have made the comments I did.

This is Open Wheel Racing and blocking or nerfing is dangerous.

    JJ,

You’re going to be racing in what may have some of the closest battles of any class. There is also very high degree of respect among racers in this class. For the most part there is not intentional blocking or contact. but you’ll be surprised at the amount of contact. Come show me your body work at the end of the season.

So I strongly disagree with you disagreeing with what I said, kinda. I think the young man needs to know whats up, the flaggers need take more agressive action (if Ian was here this would have been adressed instantly, but looks like he has his hands full right now) but mentioning it on the forum will get this info out. I also agree with flag review at the drivers meeting.

Honestly, the 1st race of the year can get a little rough. We have had some really bad 1st races before and maybe should lay out a longer drivers meeting at the the first race or so. Compared to 2 years ago at the first race at Grand Junction this went well!

Anyway, look forward to racing with you this year. Roman is blowing the rust off and we’re going to give you guys a run.

He was only making one move on the front straight but up on the hill, he was coming down then going wide to set up for turn in. (at least from what I saw)

And I think the driver is new and this shouldn’t be a federal case, but he should at least know the consequences. Coming across someone at the very minimum could have cost him a good finish, damage and possible injury. And he is going to be racing with drivers that might not be so nice about that in the future. Also, they weren’t racing for position (with that small of a field you should know who is in your class) and when Tyler got around him he pulled away.

No harm no foul I suppose if both drivers learn something, it’s all good.

    Ian,

Mike’s comments were dead on. There was a Tag Senior in with the Juniors and he was make multiple moves to block Tyler. This went on for several laps and was not delt with. Thankfully Tylers racing experience and cool head prevailed, it could havebeen ugly otherwise. He used the blocking moves to overtake this driver. You would not have let this happen more than once. Other than that they did a great job.

    Ian,

Good luck with your Dad! Hopefully he will have a quick and full recovery.

I was wondering where you were. Things went smooth. A few of the traditionally large kart count classes were small but the racing was good. Not sure about the black board?

    See you soon,

    Mitch,

You captured some very nice shots. I really like the ones coming over the hill with clouds in the back drop. Pretty cool.

    Mike,

I don’t think the Toby’s are new. Maybe a couple years in karting.

It was a fun day. I hope the small turn out is just because the season is starting early and racing in general does not get too fragmented with all the options racers have this year.

I didn’t know what to do without Roman running 2 karts.

    Rick
