JPM is almost like Gilles in a sense. A true racer. He’ll change the thoughts of people (like Nigel did in his first trip to Indy passing people in the short chutes) when the day is done. He’ll win a race or two this season. Watch. They said the same things when Mario raced at Daytona in the 60’s and if memory serves me right he won (and so did AJ Foyt for that matter)

    … tellin’ ya…

we need a sacrificial virgin even if it’s a bunny rabbit. I think the track owners would help with this one… Like I said, at least we’re not in the midwest or Upstate New York…

Like I said I’m wishing you’d have more. It’s sad to see Lake Mead so low, something like 120 feet if I remember correctly. I remember in the early 80’s that Hoover Dam had the spillway gates raised so that there wouldn’t be too much water going down the river, yet the flow was still 12-20 inches over the metal gates. That’s something I’ll probably never see in my lifetime again. But, you never know.
I hope you get some snow so you can take your sleds out closer to home!

    Stacey,

I (think) we’ve got enough for our water supply. I wish your side of the divide would get hammered so that Lake Mead and Powell can get filled up some more.

    60’s eh… :idn:

It has been my suggestion all along to leave the head volume for the Motori the way it was last year rather than add weight. Some of the drivers in Masters are already 10-20lbs over and it will not make any difference if we add weight. I see no need to make the engine any faster than it was last year at our altitude. If we go with TAGUSA on the 9.5cc rule the engine will be out of sync with the other engines.

Brad can you clarify one thing. Are we staying with the 12cc head or do we have the option to go to the 9.5? I’ve given up eating salads and skinless chicken to get to my real weight of 210. Last year I ran (rotax and motori) at 400 so yes, I’m overweight in class anyway. I want to run with the Leapurds at Bandimere and should with the lower volumed head. Just need some clarification or do I need to go back to rabbit food…

Rich, he’ll be staying in the premix class if he knows what’s good for him… 😆

I’m looking for Rick but have yet to find him and his “inappropriate attire”

    Hey Gang, Newbies especially:

I’ve completed 4 years of karting heading into year 5. I’ve always asked questions and they have been directed to the aces of the class to the seasoned vetrans. Just because I’m 6’4″ doesn’t mean I’m not approachable. If you see me in the pits or ANY TaG Masters driver feel free to stop by and ASK. I’ve gone by fellow compeditors, looked at their rigs and offered advice on maintenance, cleaning, gearing etc in hopes that it gets them up to snuff quicker. I’m STILL learning things season to season so it’s a never ending lessons learned. Welcome to karting and I look forward to practicing with many of you and racing against you. Feel free to email me or give me a number I can call in the evening.

    Richard:

It’s what we call cabin fever. Rich hadn’t turned but a few laps last year due to his moving, work, ‘roids etc 😆
Rick on the other hand’s just jealous of a charming, dynamic, good looking, eloquent and most of all modest racer!
This could all change when the weather starts to warm up and we can go to the track on a consistent basis.
Hey Mr. Longmont, There’ll be no 4 strokers for this kid (remember, that’s the class of drying paint 😆 ) and I will once again be on the Motori7 with a slightly higher weight than last year. You’ll recognize my kart. It’ll be the one in front AFTER 20 laps…
Flame on, I’ve got my asbestos manthong on…

    I don’t know.

When I have something good to say I guess it’s only right that I post. Like when you all want to cheat in the Kid Kart class 8)

Or when you want to get the most bang for your buck (watching the TaG Masters class or wanting 20 laps for the spectators to watch) 8)

You never know… But best of all is talking about Rick and his thongs… 😆

Spot on with the article’s assesement. Tony George’s grandfather, Tony Hullman is probably rolling in his grave.

And you wonder why I call it idiot racing league.

Check out the new AUTOCOURSE that came out covering last year’s F1 season. Flavio Briatore has an in depth interview and he’s saying the same things. Who cares about Carbon Fiber Brakes and Traction control. The fan doesn’t notice the difference etc etc.

    Bitter, party of one out…
