ParticipantJack, The 4th race is at IMI. No mistake in the posting.
Thanks,

ParticipantGood morning,
The Spec tire for the Mile High Challenge will be the MG Yellows.
No choice between tires.Mojo’s will be the spec tire IF and only if there are enough entries to split out the Rotax qualifiers from the club racers.
Now is the time to sign up and declare your series, if you are ready.
More information to follow…
Thanks,
JimJim Keesling
ParticipantCharles and Tom,
From a Rotax Grands point of view, I totally agree with what you are saying. At the meeting, I asked for a show of hands how many were running TaG this year for CSC and Club racing. I also asked for a show of hands how many were interested in Qual. for the Grands. 5 hands from different classes does not justify splitting and running the Rotax only Mojo, seperate starts and a bassically a whole new day of racing.
As the series director, If you two bring me 10+ entries in each class,
I will more than welcome you, full rules inplace and schedule a Grands only series.
The rules you have quoted Tom are for the Grand Nationals only, and do not apply to qualifying series. Please re-read the rules primer.
As they state, The Mojo will be REQUIRED for all Rotax qual. in 2008.
Several points to keep in mind regarding the combined scoring.
1) you must sign up and declare a series for yourself. Even if 15 Rotax sign up for Masters and you are the only one listed for the Grands, and have a Rotax license, I have 1 entry. It doesn’t matter how you finish.
2) if 15 all decide to run for the Grands, I would, as a competitor, set my kart up to win that qualifying race.
3) I would practice as much as possible on the tires I was using during the Grands to get ready.
4)As a series director, and I read Rich’s post on who is interested in racing, and I get 3 answers, plus at a meeting I get a show of 5 hands, as of now, it stands. If you make the calls, and people from out the blue all register, I will split it out.
I am here to work for you, however, you need to help and get everyone signed up, start making the calls and lets move forward.
Doug and I are talking it up as much as we can. Hop on board!
Jim(As a side note, don’t you find it intersting that the winner from the Florida Winter Tour gets a full paid trip to the world’s and they run on a different tire?)
Also, If you want parity, I will spec the MG as the tire. I was offering you a choice, so that if only 3 of you are interested, knew you were going, you could RACE with Mojo’s AND practice. The spec tire will remove that option. Thanks.Jim Keesling
ParticipantTom,
Your point is well taken, however the RMax rules primer put out by the head office states that tires are not spec for the remainder of 07, except for the Grand Nationals.
As Doug pointed out, many Rotax drivers are interested in running for the club series as well as qual. for the Grands.
If we had a strong Rotax class at all levels here, I would be more than happy to run a Rotax-Only series, however, in a building year, that just isn’t going to happen. If you only want to run for the Grands, there are series all over the country you may sign up for to do just that. It is really your choice.
Thanks,
Hope to see you at the Track, and running for both the club series AND the Grands.

ParticipantGlad too see all of you…
Don’t forget that key next time! (ha,ha)
NO MORE SNOW!!!

ParticipantGood Morning,
I think the intent of the rule is
a Different background color.
If you want to put it on the colored number plate, cool. If you want to pre-print the number with the correct background color, cool.
If you want to color the background, cool
Hope this helps,
JimJim Keesling
ParticipantHaving to lug my sorry a@@ around the track at 430 lbs. I can tell you FWB would make the racing safer, and will not change the driving line or style.
We all know, you need speed thru the corners in a TaG. The only thing FWB will do is make my kart stop at the end of 20 laps.I think Sam Walls went thru 12 sets of pads in Vegas, and I went thru at least 5. If i didn’t change them out after 10 laps. I was cooked for the next session. The 20 lap main was a huge concern!
I have not seen a problem with the motors getting us heavier guys around the track, I do see a problem with stopping us in a tight situation.
My .02 cents.
Jim

ParticipantRich, I should be running Rotax Masters as well as DD2.
As far as the rules for qualifying, I should post them real soon. Sorry for the delay. The snow has kept me inside that plow working on worthless driving lines all over The Track!
Thanks for the interest,
JimJim Keesling
ParticipantJoe,
Go ahead and FAX it over. I think by “on line” they meant it would be available on the site, which it is.
Thanks for your support and see you at the “RINK”! (I would love to get rid of all this snow and ice).

ParticipantJoe and all,
Downhill Baby!!!
Turn 1 will be a “true, exciting” turn 1.
Just wait to you see the “Turn-1 Club” we are working on…
(maybe I should put in a kart dunk tank with spectator yacht to “catch” all the action in the detention pond…)
That’s all for now.

ParticipantKirk,
To answer the orginal question,
TaG USA archives the weights for the packages that still run, but maybe not in great numbers.
You still can run with the CSC, just check out the archived section of TaG USA.
Hope this helps.

Press Release: December 18, 2006
The Track at Centennial to host 2007 Grand National
The Nation?s Highest National Championship ? 5,880 ft. elevation! The Champ Car Rotax Kart Challenge is proud to announce The Track at Centennial, located just outside Denver, CO will host the 2007 Rotax Grand National August 12-18. Changes to the 2007 Rotax program will make this the largest and most competitive US Grand National ever: there will be no grand regional events, the event has been moved into mid August to help prevent school conflict and the Rotax program structure has been revamped to help strengthen local participation.
“The Track at Centennial, the Colorado Rotax community and I are looking forward to hosting the 2007 Grand Nationals! We are ready to help put on a great show elevated to a new all time height!” Jim Keesling – President of The Track at Centennial and Series Director of the Mile High Challenge Series. (The Track at Centennial, 8/10 mile)
In 2007, Rotax will be focusing on its grassroots concepts by placing more emphasis on the Local Series. When applying for a 2007 Rotax Membership starting January 1st each member will choose a ?Home Series? and this will be the only series he/she will be able to qualify to the Grand National through. Each Local Series will be given an allocation of Grand National seats per class and it?s up to each Series Director to create a method for qualifying drivers to the Grand National using the seats they?ve been allocated. These changes will create more competition at the local level and ensure the very best from North America will make it to the Grand National. Competitors who qualify will compete for a spot on the 2007 America?s Team and a chance to represent their country in the olympics of karting at the Rotax World Finals. America?s Team will consist of the podium winners from the Jr., Sr. and DD2 classes and the Master Champion. Over 220 competitors from 60 nations will compete at the 2007 Rotax World Finals in Dubai.
?In 2007 we?re getting back to the essence of what Rotax is all about: affordable, competitive racing at the local level. We?re giving the power to each local Series Directors to choose a method of Grand National qualifying that keeps local members captivated and racing throughout the season while preparing them for our main event. The Grand National serves two main purposes: to see who is the best in North America, but more importantly it serves as a reunion for the Rotax Community; an opportunity for friends, families and teammates to come together, have FUN and create memorable experiences in a highly competitive atmosphere. Jim Keesling, Marshall Martin and I will be working closely throughout the year to bring the most customer friendly, professional and well organized event in the United States.? Joe Ramos Jr. – Program Director of the Champ Car Rotax Kart Challenge
When competitors get home from the 2007 Grand National the 2008 season will immediately begin September 1, 2007. Just another way for Rotax members and Local Series to stay competitive throughout the year! Momentum for the Rotax program continues to grow and the program continues to forge new paths getting stronger along the way, come join the ROTAX REVOLUTION. It all starts here!
