    Angie,
The direction and tone of a forum is set by the moderator. There are two well known national forums. One has a fairly strict code of conduct and the other is pretty much wide open and anything goes. Which do you think ia apparently more popular at least by the numbers that visit the site?

You are the founder of this site and also the moderator of what goes over the airwaves here. There are many Colorado karters that won’t participate on this site because they are intimidated by bullies that have taken over it’s direction. It is your responsibility as the founder and moderator of the forum to police the words and actions of those that participate. I know for a fact that you have deleted previous posts that offended you personally …….now I would ask that you take others feelings in to consideration. Please start using the delete key amd PM the offender.

Mr. Moore has been allowed to constantly attack CRE and myself personally on the forum over the past three years and absolutely REFUSES to give up the ghost. I have received three phone calls over the past two days from folks that I thought I would never hear from again. They have applauded my response to Mr. Moore’s most recent outburst for they are as tired and offended by his mindless tyraid I as am. Slander may be difficult to prove but the ongoing attacks by Mr. Moore on this forum, that have been downloaded, represent harrassment, a civil charge that won’t be difficult to prove. You have the responsiblity, power and position to put an end to the nonsense on this site. Please clean it up.

I totally applaud Mike Jansens post……..it is right on target.

    Hotwheels,
Once again, you are one sick pup……and I can only feel sorry for the absolute piss poor example you are to a son who deserves more.
You CHEATED yourself and your son out of a great learning experience at CRE because you want to live vicariously through him to make up for your failures in life. He may be short….but you are the midget.
Someday, some poor bastard is going to argue with him about basic human values because YOU have no clue………and he isn’t going to know any difference. This all goes FAR beyond kart racing you goober!!
Shame, shame , shame………..that cute little boy will some day mirror your stupidity and carry on your shameless legacy!!
For those of you out there looking in…………JUST LOOK IN THE MIRROR, THEY SEE AND HEAR EVERTHING YOU SAY AND EVERY FOOLISH ACTION THAT YOU TAKE……don’t blame them for your your ignorance for YOU taught them.
It is hard to believe that this post is about family recreation and sport!!

    Hotwheels,
There you go again BIG Mouth…….just can’t seem to keep it shut when you are ahead!!!
You got busted at CRE big time and made such a fool out of yourself, on a beautiful Sunday morning, that you had your butt escorted out of here by the lovely El Paso County Sheriff’s department and you think you have the folks up north baffled…………a cheater here is a cheater there and you’ve been busted repeatedly. They just aren’t smart enough to tell you to hit the road………or have they already and you just haven’t heard the music. I will be glad to give the names and phone numbers of all of the families that exhibited your stupidity. Once again YOU not your innocent little boy were bounced out of CRE because YOU were above the IKF/WKA or anybodies rules……….so WHY are you raising such a fuss against unpublished rules that you wouldn’t follow anyway. Do your kid a favor and stop embarassing him with your CHILDISH behavior!!
Keep up the slander and you will find yourself spending Brandon Moore the racers, fathers, sons, kids or whatevers karting funds on attorneys fees.

    Craig,
I would also suggest that you clean and rebuild the fuel pump….the kits are only $4.95. A failing fuel pump will create many problems.

    JB,
I suggested a home and away series between GJ, IMI and CRE to Stacey Cook and Brad Linkus along with Grady Clay while you were still just a kart shop owner and not a “Big Time” race promoter ; although you’ve only promoted and directed one season of racing at Bandimere’s rental track. I’ve always advocated an in state series tnat was SANCTIONED by a real national governing body and that is something that just isn’t going to happen as long as Brad is pulling the strings of Denver kart racing ; you know that as well as I do.
You operate a kart shop and want to sell and service karts but outside of the income generated by two CSC races you have no interest in promoting and directing races at Bandimere’s facility. It’s unfortunate, but the Bandimere facility is in need of a serious facelift ; you know it and so do most of the racers. The fact still remains that even if you built a new track at Bandimere it would not change the one horse nature of the CSC that has become a big city championship.
My apologizes if my observations are irratating but painfully true. It’s all pretty good for the Denver area racers but out of balance for those of us around the state.

With seven of the nine races scheduled in the immediate Denver area, the COLORADO Sprint Championships needs to be renamed: the Denver Sprint Championships…….it’s just a cross town series between, IMI, Bandimere, The Track with another front range venue, Greeley, thrown in to the mix. It seems the expectations are that racers from the Western slope, Southern Colorado and Northen Colorado are expected to travel to the metro Denver area for the CSC with little travel involved for Denver area racers.
The CSC should be brought back to a STATEWIDE series with one race at each of the states four legitimate kart tracks on the western slope in Grand Junction, Erie on the north side of Denver, The Track located in Denver and southern Colorado’s track located in Calhan with a year end Championship event rotated between the four tracks….five races overall. This type of schedule would allow each region the opportunity to develope their own regional club programs. As it is the CSC is not bringing in new racers and with a nine race schedule is virtually killing regional club racing that should help to develope competitors for the CSC Series.
What was a State Champion Series has become a Citywide Championship Series that pales in significance to the Stars of Karting presented by IRL ,the Rotax Challenge presented by ChampCar.or even the Florida Winter Tour.
Reduce the number of races, the number of classes, set qualification requirements for the participants and then bring ALL of the state regional racers in to the Series and you have a Series of significance.

    Guest,
The racers will have the awards surcharge rebated to them at the end of the season if the minimum number of competitors qualification is not met. The funds will be secured in a separate awards savings account until paid out to the competitors.

    Thanks………

    Angie,
Thanks so much for establishing the new SoCo category for kart racers from Castle Rock south. It will give us a place on the states only karting membership website to announce schedules, classes, activities, special events as well as a place to hold discussions regarding issues that concern kart racing south of the Rock.
We appreciate your time and consideration and the opportunity to participate on an open forum.

    Doug,
Stars is not a sanctioning body, they are sanctioned by WKA and draw their International rules from WKA’s affiliation with CIK the International kart sanctioning body. They are requiring homologation in the ICC, ICA and JICA International classes to open the US to world class competition and hopefully get more Americans involved in international kart racing. I believe five of their events last season were on the CIK international schedule and drew Europeans to those events. Italian David Fore’ and others were at the season opening event in Oklahoma City in March.
IKF and WKA only homologates engine packages and related performance parts as previously mentioned; they are outlined in both organizations tech manuals. American kart manufacturers aren’t restrained by homologation procedures by IKF and WKA but have voluntarily restrained from rushing new chassis designs to the market every year. It is interesting that American kart manufacturers are now submitting chassis’ to Stars for homologation because of the success and popularity of the Stars program…..and it will open up the international markets for their products.
You apparently were not around karting during the days of ” the pipe of the month club”. IKF and CIK’s good intentions have paid off significantly by controlling the expensive flow of new technology to the market every year that prematurely obsolated karts, parts and engines.
JReed….you can compete in Stars on your RBI in the International classes ( ICC, ICA and JICA) IF it has been homologated by CIK. You can also compete in any of Stars other classes that DO NOT require homologated chassis.
The national and international kart racing sanctioning bodies are not the impassionate King Kong gorillas that some would like to portray……….

    To All,
Homologation was actually instituted to save racers money. Manufacturers were putting out new chassis designs, engines and the latest, greatest parts every six months to a year which was virtually obsoleting new equipment in the same time frame, thus driving the cost of racing out of sight.
Homologation was instituted by IKF,WKA and the CIK to slow the obsolences factor to five years for engines and chassis by CIK for three years. Homologation was also instituted to approve and standardize engine packages, for the inspection and approval of various kart components and safety equipment.
