    Greg,
Weight handicap or use an exhaust or intake restrictor on the Mod.Animal and then run it with the World Formula as one four cycle senior class….you then have the best of both worlds in one class. One engine package for the guy that likes to tinker and one for the guy who wants reasonable performance, reliability, reasonable cost and is on a budget. Level the playing field for the World Formula.
The clutter I was talking about was the other engines currently allowed in a class that aren’t competitive with the Mod Animal & World Formula…..drop the stockers, limited mods, Blue Wazooms. This will also reduce the tech time and headaches.

    Skipper,
We are going to use the World Formula as a Senior ( Sr.4-cycle) entry level class in 05 to the Rotax/TaG program. They are not as imposing as the current group of TaG engines ; performance and cost wise. They are 15hp, OHV, low maintenance (30+hour maintenance cycle), rev limiter with electric start.A NEW package should retail for about $32 to 3,400.00, about 60% of a new TaG setup.
The engines are $995 -950.00 depending on the dealer. They come WITH a Premier Titan clutch; with 16 & 17 T sprockets. We are running them with the Canadian RLV two-cycle style silencer ($79.95), pipe support bracket ($25.95), the Nelson battery box and battery ( $59.90) and less than $10.00 for wiring and clamps. They are an excellent engine for either a sealed spec class or a claimer class.
I would suggest contacting Richie Hearn of Hearn Competition Karting
626-574-0890 or Nelson Manufacturing, 209-357-9582 for further information. Hearn’s uses them for an arrive and drive endurance racing program. Both Hearns and Nelson are satisfied WF customers. Drop me a line and I will fill you in on our experience with them.
This is an engine package that could sure reduce the clutter in the Sr. 4cycle class at an affordable price and is a post race technicians dream.

    Blink,
Scott Evans visited CRE on June 9th, 2003 and held a tech certification class for myself and Travis Roberts of KSD. I received our Certification of Completion less than 30 days later which was approved by Scott Evans of Karbz Inc, approval #ooo116. CRE’s selection as a service center by KSD was approved by Joe Ramos.
The new alignment of the regional distributors to the dealer direct network did not negate existing dealership or service center agreements, at least thats what I was told by Joe Ramos.

    J.B.,
You need to pull your head out every now and then to smell the fresh air.
I would like to refer you to Mr.Welch’s post of May20th on the CK forum
in which he invites the CSC contingent to participate in an EXHIBITION in downtown Colorado Springs on June 27th. Doug is not the promoter but is the acting race director of the event. CRE IS NOT the host as you imply. CRE Motorsports and our supporters will be there as previously indicated to promote kart racing in Southern Colorado. We truly appreciate the opportunity to put our program and facility before our Southern Colorado patrons in an exhibition in downtown Colorado Springs that is supported by Mr.Welch. We plan to take full advantage of the opportunity afforded us by the promoter and Mr. Welch.
I am glad to here that you will be down to help us grow our sport in Southern Colorado…..just how many of your team will be down?
    See you on the 27th…………..

    Ben,
CRE Motorsports and our membership will be at the event in force with racers in the Junior I, International and Masters classes as well as a few 80 and 125 shifters.
Many thanks to Doug Welch for his involvement and support of this event which will give CRE and its membership a premier opportunity to showcase CRE Motorsports Park and our WKA sanctioned program to our Southern Colorado patrons. This will be a tremendous boost to our on going membership drive and growing program.
Come on down and help support the growth of kart racing in Southern Colorado. The more the merrier!!

    Joey,
Our full class structure is on our website at http://www.cremotorsports.com
We will run a TaG class if there are at least four karts in the field;otherwise we will combine what ever TaG’s show up with a shifter flight. The TaG class will be governed by the combined specs and weights of TaG USA and SKUSA TaG.
CRE would be a great track for the TaG class….we would like to see it develope.

    Dennis,
The CRE/WKA schedule was out and published long before the CSC schedule…..The CSC is not the only program in the state…….and despite popular belief not all of the states kart racers are sold on its hype.
There should be a number of great WKA programs in your new location. I know you love kart racing………why don’t you get involved there? I know they would like to have your constructive critcism.
