ParticipantWe have weight, fuel, carb, tires and a few other head volumn type rules we are curious about too. I am just not going to get excited about it. The only time I ever got my kid DQ’d is when I as a tuner made a bad decision. I can’t remember when someone got singled out when playing fair and staying within the written rules in our 6 years within Colorado Karting.
And George is OK with us. He did many good things in the development of our son when we were starting out. Once again, we played fair with him, and his rules, and good things happened. Just another opinion again I guess.
What are you going to do if CRE get’s a CSC race in the future? Drop? Those should be some pretty gravy points in your own back yard the way you guys ran down there in the day.
Just go easy, racing season is right around the corner and everyone is pretty overheated with cabin fever right now.

ParticipantYou know, I have gotten calls from some newbies, and they seem to understand the reason that the rules are delayed. If you all think we are sitting around twiddling our thumbs (I can only imagine what else)…. You are wrong. Last year we did have a rule book, SKUSA’s book. It didn’t cover some of the classes (Mini Max, Jr 1 Animal, Briggs Mod, Kid Karts), and others had issues (K80). I really do understand the frustration. We are trying to put the book together in such a way that we can easily work with it for years to come with little work required to update each year. I am sorry that the process doesn’t happen overnight. It isn’t because there are any big dark secrets, and any specific technical questions can be answered now, you just have to ask.
I will tell you what I know ….
Mini Max will run to RMax rules for Mini Max
Pro and Novice 125 will run to last years specs -wts ICC 385, moto 375
125 Masters will run to last years specs – wts ICC 410, Moto 400
125 Stock (Spec) will use the2006 Spec Moto Standards pdf file
80 Novice and 80 Junior to last years specs and wts for K3 and K2
K80 class to last years specs (Brian I will have the actual copy tomorrow) with the correction to run airboxes NOT air cleaners –
TAGS to TAGUSA across the board for Sr, Masters, and Jr.
Briggs – you guys know, but I have a copy and will be in the book.
Jr 1 Animal – same deal, you all probably have an idea, I have a hard copy, and it will be in the book.
and Kid Karts will….. TBA (looking like the Honda deal will be it – official word will be any day)Tires are MG Yellow. Fuel is VP 93, 98 or C12 and alky for Briggs Mod. The oil as of right now is either the VP RS7 , or Maxima 927.
Background color for rear plates as follows:
Pro 125 ? Yellow
Novice 125 ? Red
Stock 125 ? Blue
Masters 125 Shifter ? Black
Junior 80 ? Yellow
Novice 80 ? Red
Tag Masters – Yellow
Tag Senior – Red
Tag Junior – Blue
Mini Max – Yellow
Jr 1 Animal – Red
Jr 1 Comer 80 – Black
Kid Kart ? Yellow
Briggs Mod – YellowOfficial info will be posted on the CSC website any day now.
I am sure I am going to get hammered here, so bring it on!

hi guys – I’m not trying to flame anyone here – karting is a hobbie for me – nothing more. I have met both Angie and Curt – both great people that I appreciate and have nothing against. That being said… by what means should I have this “understanding” for the rules being delayed???!! Angie – I have been calling you starting a week after the meeting at IMI, what comunication have I missed? Personally, I feel like a mushroom… Seems that the “rules are coming soon” answere is no longer a ligimate answere.
I know I’m new to most of you, but I have been karting for over 20 years – I know the drill… Karting is what you want to get out of it – this year, running up front wasn’t my goal – but RULES are half of the sport (at least to me) – there’s a certian satisfaction building something to a set of rules and then compeating against others on a playing field that we try to create as level as possible.
Who all are involved in seting up the rules? What is the delay? What are the issues that are being contemplated? What is set in stone? And… what drop-dead date do you have schedualed for the compleation? Answere these questions and I can figure out if I can make the series – I really want to….
Thanks Curt – you have allways been willing to answere my questions – I have been getting track time – been out 12 times so far this season and I’m progressivly getting faster… I’ll be at the track & IMI this weekend.
No rules = no race = no series…
I appreciate all the opinions on this board – this is just mine…
Thanks!
Gary

ParticipantHotwheels,
There you go again BIG Mouth…….just can’t seem to keep it shut when you are ahead!!!
You got busted at CRE big time and made such a fool out of yourself, on a beautiful Sunday morning, that you had your butt escorted out of here by the lovely El Paso County Sheriff’s department and you think you have the folks up north baffled…………a cheater here is a cheater there and you’ve been busted repeatedly. They just aren’t smart enough to tell you to hit the road………or have they already and you just haven’t heard the music. I will be glad to give the names and phone numbers of all of the families that exhibited your stupidity. Once again YOU not your innocent little boy were bounced out of CRE because YOU were above the IKF/WKA or anybodies rules……….so WHY are you raising such a fuss against unpublished rules that you wouldn’t follow anyway. Do your kid a favor and stop embarassing him with your CHILDISH behavior!!
Keep up the slander and you will find yourself spending Brandon Moore the racers, fathers, sons, kids or whatevers karting funds on attorneys fees.April 5, 2006 at 2:03 pm #53146Angie MacEwen
ParticipantGary, I can certainly appreciate the frustration. First, there are no issues being contemplated. As I see it, it is only a matter of getting the books printed and the CSC site updated. I am sorry if I ever gave you misleading or confusing information. I can tell you this, as of today, I, personally have the rule book copy?. it still needs to be compiled into a complete document to print, but the individual parts are as I posted in my previous post. If you have a concern or a specific technical question, just ask.
I am sure I missed answering each of your questions individually ? sorry about that. I will come back later to do that. Now I have to take the kids to school, get groceries, run some errands, then come back and work on the rules until I go back and get the kids after school, then I will continue to work on rules as I get snacks, do laundry, break up the fights, get dinner ready, unload the dishwasher???. I am exhausted already!!!
Have a great Day!! :sun: !

P.S.S. My son was the only comer running by I.K.F.’s rules the rest of the class was running your rules with the ververy pipe. Also take me to court it’s only slander if its not the truth. “PUT UP OR SHUT UP”!!! My address is the same serve me prove to the rest of the karting community that your right!!!! ParticipantAngie,
I understand and know that your life is very busy. I thought Mr. Keesling was writing the rules? If and when they are done I will sign my son up to race in both comer 80 and novice shifter. I just cannot sign agreeing to rules I have not seen. It is like buying a new car without negotiating a price or agreeing on an intrest rate. I do appreciate and thank those involved in making the rules just want them sooooooon.

ParticipantThanks Curt. I am alive and kicking and feel better than ever except for being tired of seeing adult whiners in regards to the rules. As an ambassador (positive promoter) of karting and in the last 3 year that I have been apart of the CSC I have found that this is a formation of karters in CO and other outlying states that have a passion for being in competitive atmospheres. The sole purpose of the CSC, and correct me if I am wrong Angie, is to provide an environment for adults and children alike to have fun in a competitive atmosphere. I have never been a complainer nor a demander as I feel things will come with patience. For those adults that have been complaining or impatient, take some advice from a former Marine…. A closed mouth may collect dust but not criticism. Keep whining as you wish, Kleenex loves it and I’m buying stock… UURRAAHH!!!!!

Participanthi Roger,
I don’t think I have met you, hopefully I will sometime… Give me your take on rules – I don’t think anyone is whining… How can you race without rules??
No rules = no race = no series…
So far (in my opinion) the CSC has my money, and all we racers have is a new logo… Am I wrong? Or should I just sit here and be thankfull if / when the rulebook falls out of the sky for us little folks…
I hope when everybody starts asking “why is karing in Colorado in the state that it is?” (and you know they will) looks back on this thread…
Sorry – but I’ve been ready and waiting for something to come together – I’ve been very patient and willing to help… but nothing… this is not whining…
have a good one, and hope to see you on the track!

ParticipantHotwheels,
You are one sick dude…………I feel sorry for your son !April 6, 2006 at 4:01 pm #53153RogerBonham
ParticipantGary,
Last year was the first year that the CSC had an actual rule book and an official person conducting tech. Before last year the rulebook was actually a rulepage (or two) and each track conducted tech. The rulebook covers a lot of classes now and this is the first year that the CSC is revising them. The process will just take time to make changes agreed upon by the karters. If you have questions about the rules ask Angie. Patience is a virtue.

Participant“KING GEORGE”,
There is a reason that you were not I.K.F. after we were escorted off by the El Paso county sherriff. Tell the rest of the story. I did not play by your local option rules that were not approved by I.K.F.. In turn YOUR races were running un-insured. The list goes on and on. IF IT IS SLANDER TAKE ME TO COURT!!! Prove to everyone your right “SHUT ME UP”!!! Cost me money I DARE YOU!!!! Here is my address again so you can serve me.
