Does the CSC races count towards club points?
    Which race is double points?

What is the over/under for when Cunningham retires this season? I’ll take on or before July 15th. 8)

Give me a call @ Gunslinger Custom Paint (303) 225-0854

We are an authorized Bell Helmet distributor. Bell Helmets are made in the USA and is the number one name in helmets. We can sell you the helmet and all accessories.

Need Custom Paint? We do that too. We can have the raw shell shipped to our location. We will then paint your design and send it back to Bell for the interior installation.

Your helmet is a prime investment in your safety. Make the right move.

    Curt,

Suggestion: If a decent amount of Kids show-up, have a kid orienteted racer meeting aside from the “Big one”. Discuss flags, procedures, proper racing etiquette, etc…

Gary Hunt, who helps GJMS, would be a great candidiate. This guy has been in and out of all types of 2 and 4 stroke engines. He used to own the Kawasaki dealership in GJ. Very knowlegeable, personable, and he is a racer! (racer is a term I use for those who are in the know. There is a difference between a racer and driver)

The cosictency of officials is KEY to this working. It will be beneficial for the racers (customers) so that they get fair, accurate and consistant officiating. It will also allow track owners/promotors focus on their business of selling parts, pit passes, dumping trash, etc… The TaG World finals was a good example. TaG USA handled the track and officiating, Brad and company did IMI business (and had a great BBQ and Beer on sat!) The track owners should all put a equal % of the race proceeds towards paying key officials and their travel/lodging exspense throughout the year. If not the Cooks will pay more money towards their race providing this at their events. (dueto the fact most of the community is on the front range)

The Sponsorship thing is real grey. Why isnt it the “MG Tire Colorado Sprint Championships”? Shouldnt MG be putting $10-$20 per set of tires per event towards the CSC prize fund? This will handle trophies, prizes, and part of the year end banquet expense. Wagner Rossi is very supportive of karting, especially here in Colorado. Dunlop (via Russell Karting) was the Title sponsor of the SIRA (Southern Indiana Racing Assoc.) I beleive they gave $5k over a two year contract. Not sure how it was justified in Russell’s marketing budget, but I know the members and competitors of the SIRA benefited.

    Rick,

Thanks for the kind words. I am very passionate about this sport. Sometimes to a fault. At this point in my life I have no interest in officiating kart races. I had too much fun helping Louie and hanging out with friends. Plus, I have 2 girls, a wife, and a golden retreiver who deserve more time with me. I spent too many years with racing being my entire life. Once they hate seeing me around all the time, I’m sure I’ll be hot and heavy back into it. Might even drive. (if I can remember how)

I can go on and on but it’s not for me to decide. All I can say is this.

“Were not curing cancer, were racing Go-karts!”

    Have Fun
    Race Hard
Support your Local tracks and Shops

See ya when the snow melts! (unless you want to go boarding with me)

No racing org, schedule, classes, etc.. will ever completely satisfy the masses. Good luck.

My only suggestion for the CSC is to keep your Race director, Tech director, and Starter consistent from one race to the other. It is my personal opinion that this is where the CSC lacks. Dennis Z. and Angie are the only thing consistent (except when Dennis got hurt and didnt go to GJ). If these three people are front range folks, the only CSC expense outside of paying these key officials will be lodging in GJ. I’m sure Stacey can pitch a tent or something on the 8th and 9th tee boxes for them!! 😀

    Best of luck to all.

Excellent way to demo the class! Good one Stacey. I hope everyone who has DD2’s and Tag4’s show up and help launch this for 2008.

Does this mean Cunningham will come out of retirement, again?

    Mike,

If my memory (and Autocourse) serves me right, Pirroni screwed Gilles at San Marino a race earlier. Gilles was killed in practice at Belgium.

He was a racers, racer. I loved watching him throw the Ferrari around the streets of Long Beach with Piquet, de Angelis, Lauda, Rosberg, Alan Jones, etc…

Bedding your pads properly is the most critical thing you can do. Rick explained this very well. Although many people have different Ideas on how to do it, just be sure you bed them before you put them into race use.

It is unfortunately cancelled. We checked e-mail boxes, PO Boxes, and the fax. No more entries.

What a shame! This was a chance to race a unique and fun event with cash and prizes up for grabs.

Thanks to all who did enter.
