ParticipantRick, that picture was taken by Mitch Bowers. He raced TAG Masters that day, too, but took time to shoot some pics. Look in the album for more! He also did the aerial shot of “The Track” on http://www.thetrack.us.

ParticipantNo, none of the others do. GJMS does this because they have a lot of fuel shipped in, just for the CSC, and could end up with tons left over if they didn’t require the purchase. Or, if they only had enough for the locals, they could run out really quick. Sorry for not getting the word out sooner.
And Mikey, put the horns away! This is all about having fun REMEMBER!

ParticipantPer Grand Junction Motor Speedway…….
Fuel/Oil purchase is required for the Grand Junction races, just like last year.
4 gallons of fuel and 1 bottle of oil are required purchase,
with the following exceptions:
Kid Karts – supplied motor program includes fuel
K80 – 2 gallons, 1 bottle oil
Jr 1 Animal – no oil
Briggs Mod – no fuel purchase (come prepared with Methanol)Angie MacEwen
ParticipantBlink, don’t you have some wiring to do? Be nice, and don’t forget about The Track

ParticipantOther racers from Colorado that did well were Brandon Moore in Cadet, and Taylor Broekemeier in ICC. Great job to you all!!

ParticipantStacey,
Some things to keep in mind….
1. The Honda Kid Karts will NOT have to buy fuel, as it is being supplied as part of the deal!
2. The Comer 80s also will use very little fuel, though, and maybe that should be considered.3.The Briggs Mod use alcohol ( don’t know if you carry it, they will bring it with them.
4. The Jr 1 Animals will use fuel but no oil.

ParticipantBrian,
First, congats on the good show with STARS this weekend!!
If 6 K80s had signed up, ready to run last year’s rules… that is what we would have done. But with one signed up, and very little interest in the class, this is the time to make this change. This change would have come next year anyway.
sorry for the inconvenience. You mentioned getting a Mini Max for Brandon to race here…. do it! It would be great fun to have another runner in there.

Participant:coffee Just to clarify…. The Box Stock Sealed program would require most to purchase a new motor. There would be really no way to inspect and seal used motors as Box Stock. The motors would have to be purchased from one of the track or business owners (ones we approve) sealed. Meaning, they get the motor, seal it, then sell it. I am learning a bit about the Comer 80, and as I understand it, there are different cylinders available, rated AA,A,B,C, so that if all of the sealed motors were requested purchases from the suppliers as C cylinders, then we would match what CRE has done, and further keep the engines equal. Somebody please correct me if that is wrong.
Obviously, there are things that can still be messed with that are outside of the sealed area, and that is why we have tech.
These are just ideas, it just seems so ridiculous to expect people to pour so much money into the motors, just to run the CSC. Even those of you that have expensive blue printed motors…. wouldn’t it be more effective to be able to leave those on the shelf and save them for Stars, and run a sealed one at CSC?
Joe, is your stocker bought and sealed at CRE?Jansen has a point, however a stocker vs. a blueprinted just doesn’t work.
How much faster are the blueprinted over the stock? Just curious if anyone knows.thanks,
Angie
