Participant:coffee Just to clarify…. The Box Stock Sealed program would require most to purchase a new motor. There would be really no way to inspect and seal used motors as Box Stock. The motors would have to be purchased from one of the track or business owners (ones we approve) sealed. Meaning, they get the motor, seal it, then sell it. I am learning a bit about the Comer 80, and as I understand it, there are different cylinders available, rated AA,A,B,C, so that if all of the sealed motors were requested purchases from the suppliers as C cylinders, then we would match what CRE has done, and further keep the engines equal. Somebody please correct me if that is wrong.
Obviously, there are things that can still be messed with that are outside of the sealed area, and that is why we have tech.
These are just ideas, it just seems so ridiculous to expect people to pour so much money into the motors, just to run the CSC. Even those of you that have expensive blue printed motors…. wouldn’t it be more effective to be able to leave those on the shelf and save them for Stars, and run a sealed one at CSC?
Joe, is your stocker bought and sealed at CRE?Jansen has a point, however a stocker vs. a blueprinted just doesn’t work.
How much faster are the blueprinted over the stock? Just curious if anyone knows.thanks,
Angie

But, frankly, $4K and for a K80 is just crazy–but some desparate dad will pay it.
What is they say about a fool and his money? Or better yet, remember the line from Indiana Jones about the watch, take a $10 watch, bury it in the sand for 10,000 years and it becomes priceless.
