Participantthe CSC switched to the Maxima 927 in ’05 because of an issue with the VP RC3 at the time. The club series at the CSC tracks (IMI, The Track, and GJMS) have always run the same rules as the CSC.

ParticipantKirk, it probably should be a new thread…. unfortunately I can’t easily move just a couple of posts in a thread.
I guess now we may need a Mile High Challenge topic under the discussion list.
thank you all for being kind to one another…. thinking through and rereading your posts before sending! :peace

ParticipantClasses will be combined. Jrs won’t be combined with Srs, but other than that, like classes will be combined.

Brian – I will bring up the age thing with the board on the K80.

ParticipantKurt,
I believe that Mini Max is at a Jr 2 level. They will run in the rain. Also, that means if you move up to Jr 2 level, you can’t go back to race Jr 1. My feeling is that you shouldn’t be allowed to race K80 and Mini Max. What do people think about that?as for the 12 year old thing. There is talk of reverting the age basis to the way it was a few years ago. That is if your kid is going to be 12 in ’07 then it is your choice to race as 11 or as 12 year old. That gives a little lee way for the newbies in Junior classes. Also, there very well may be a requirement of some club races before entering a CSC race. I am getting clarification on that before making an official post. That is how many races are required, how to get it signed off, whatever.
One more thing. The rear number plate color will be enforced this year. Classes that run together need to know if the guy in front of them is in their class.

ParticipantOK guys, I am working on doing the sub-menu thing, hopefully without messing up the whole forum. In addition to catagories for the classifieds…..This means that the GGP, CSC and SoCoKarting can also be divisions under General Discussions. Just give me a few nights of making sure I have all of the semicolons and commas right in the code, or it just won’t work at all!
Mike, once that is set, I will make you a moderator!
Thank you for your patience!

ParticipantThank you to all of those that put this thing together, as well as all of those that attended! It is a good step in the right direction. The CSC is working on the items discussed, and will post official information soon regarding classes, schedule, rules, etc.
One thing that we can get going on now is the Racer Representatives. We tried this once before, and it just never fully evolved into its intended function. So, for now, at least be thinking of who you would want to represent your class (or group of classes – like TaG Sr and Masters). This person would basically be a liaison between the racers in those represented classes and the CSC. Also, this person might be a person to send newbies in those classes for more information.
We will work on the process by which we pick the reps. But if you are interested, or have a suggestion on a good candidate for the position, please let me know!
Thanks, and look for more information soon,
Angie

ParticipantIt is kind of hard to put things into words on the forum, and come across with the intended tone. I think everyone here is throwing out ideas, and that is great. We really all have the same goal in mind, so should try to keep that in mind throughout.
Scott, it may have been helpful to divide the names list further, into those who you know have the equipment, those who want the K80, those who agree to go with whatever class is decided for that age group, those who are in that age group, etc. Personally, we would really rather NOT have to own Comer 80s.
I would throw out another idea…. TaG Cadet…. take a look. It should look pretty good in many of the criteria areas. TaGUSA rules that we already use for our successful TaG programs with Jr, Sr, and Masters. If we want a single engine class, then look at the various TaG Cadet motors for some choices. Some of the regions around us, TX, OK, run similar programs. TaG is the way of the future, right, so why not look ahead.
The Mini Max has been great for us, but it doesn?t fit the bill for the younger kids moving out of Kid Karts.
Remember, this is still brainstorming, I am just putting some more food for thought out there!

ParticipantDave Galegor gave us an .avi clip…. I am still learning how to embed a video on a page. You should be able to download and view it. (I had to right click, download to file, then open with a viewer…. but my computer is ancient)

Good luck.
I have the entire segment on a dvd if anyone wants it.

ParticipantOf course, Doug, the first few seconds of the karting piece is where they show a nice shot of you and a great view of the side of your trailer!
The whole thing is worth watching, for sure! I like Jim’s woohoo that you hear in the background at the award ceremony. And Cole got in the picture a couple of times. The entire show was very nicely done. Cole really liked the “backyard” that Bill and Chase went motorcycle/quad riding in. And even Scamp got in a good shot! Nice reflection of a very nice family.
