Mike Jansen
ParticipantAngie,
I assume we’re getting people’s registrations for this upcoming season (once the drifts melt and the hurricane winds subside!) and I was just wondering what numbers are being taken.
Like I said, I’d like #27 myself and will order numbers once I know this is okay… Thanks. :cheers:January 9, 2007 at 12:55 am #56007Anonymous

InactiveTony,
9.3 Kart Numbering
9.3.1 Number assignment. CSC assigns numbers on a first come basis, with numbers 1 ? 10 typically being reserved for those carrying a National or Regional number from a previous season.
9.3.2 Rear Number Plate Background. Karts must run a rear number plate with the appropriate background color. This requirement will be enforced, and is in an effort to make it possible to more easily distinguish what class a kart is running in. This is helpful when there is more than one class running on the track at any given time.
Background color requirement by class:
Pro 125 ? Yellow
Novice 125 ? Red
Stock 125 ? Blue
Masters 125 Shifter ? Black
Junior 80 ? Yellow
Novice 80 ? Red
Tag Masters – Yellow
Tag Senior – Red
Tag Junior – Blue
Mini Max – Yellow
Jr 1 Animal – Red
Jr 1 Comer 80 – Black
Kid Kart ? Yellow
Briggs Mod – Yellow9.3.3 Number Plate Graphics: It is mandatory that each kart display its racing number on all four sides. The rear plate background must match above requirement
9.3.3.1 Numerals shall be of a style that is easily readable. Simplicity is the key. Artistic liberty can often lead to confusion.
It is located in part 1 of the Csc rules

InactiveThanks Rick.
I should have checked the rules.
Hope your recovery is going well. I had surgery on my ankle 5 weeks ago and haven’t been able to put weight on it yet, so I know how challenging it can be to sit around.
Looking forward to seeing you at the track.

InactiveHope yours is going well too Tony. The hardest part is just sitting around because you have too. I am back to work part time and feeling pretty good.
Look forward to seeing you out there this year. Sounds like you get to learn Rotax tuning and driving. You’ll do great, it is just different. It’s a great engine package. Were not sure exactly what were doing yet, but are looking forward to competing again for sure.
Makes it a little easier with the weather knowing no one is getting “up on ya” track time wise while healing.
When the weather breaks we’ll get Roman a good 60 – 70 lap day in, see what kind of shape he’s in. lol His Grandma was here for the last couple of weeks feeding us way better than we needed.

ParticipantYou all are girlie men!
Rick doesn’t know what they’re doing for this season yet he’s got his number picked out. I got something for you to pick… 8)
Jack’s flying the friendly skies yet he wants his number 27 from shifter class… 8)
And Mike “Beans and” Frank wants a number even though he’s retired. 8)
Y’all are killin’ me…
Although I do have dibs on # 6 since I earned it, but would rather have the number Gilles ran…

InactiveI don’t think you should be allowed to have a number that is higher than the amount of laps you can finish.
So…………………… #6 sounds good

ParticipantWell guys, I have Mike Jansen’s reg form here, with the request for #27… so guess he gets it! If you want to lock in a number, you had better get your form in with payment, and I will put you on the list! (under CSC topics)

And I’ll have you know, 20 laps are a piece of cake in 2007. You heard it here first…
Of course, it has to warm up first. Don’t know about you but I’m getting tired of Scooter up to her nose in snow…

If Jansens check doesn’t clear, can someone else have #27?
