ParticipantIt would be fun if I had video of a wild ride I had back in 2005 at IMI. No boring kart on top of another kart incident. This was a master cylinder weld coming apart from the frame on the back stretch at IMI while racing counterclockwise. This was a total 4×4 across the field at 80mph with no brakes and hitting a jump on the dirt track, flying out of the kart while the kart flipped and rolling to my feet… At least that is what I think happened. Since I was on a burm on the motorcyle dirt track that corner shut down pretty much while the CSC race continued on the kart track. That would be some good video…. Wow.. How those great memories (maybe those are pains) never go away..
Moral of the story is…. EXAMINE YOUR KART CLOSELY BEFORE GOING ON THE TRACK EVERY TIME….
Good luck to all this season….

ParticipantI guarantee that you will learn more and drive faster when racing with faster guys/gals than you will without.

ParticipantHey Mike,
I do have to say that after 45 days at sea without hitting a port they gave us 2 beers each…. it is amazing what 2 beers can do to you after 45 days. Thank goodness we didn’t meet the 90 day rule.. That could have gotten messy…

ParticipantI can tell you right now those care packages make huge differences. I recommend anyone that has ever thought of sending a package, don’t procrastinate and go ahead and do it. The men and women over there deserve it. I thankfully enjoyed the benefits of getting them in Bosnia and while sitting in the Adriatic Sea. I can’t describe what it does to moral. Hang in there Mike.

ParticipantGary,
Last year was the first year that the CSC had an actual rule book and an official person conducting tech. Before last year the rulebook was actually a rulepage (or two) and each track conducted tech. The rulebook covers a lot of classes now and this is the first year that the CSC is revising them. The process will just take time to make changes agreed upon by the karters. If you have questions about the rules ask Angie. Patience is a virtue.

ParticipantThanks Curt. I am alive and kicking and feel better than ever except for being tired of seeing adult whiners in regards to the rules. As an ambassador (positive promoter) of karting and in the last 3 year that I have been apart of the CSC I have found that this is a formation of karters in CO and other outlying states that have a passion for being in competitive atmospheres. The sole purpose of the CSC, and correct me if I am wrong Angie, is to provide an environment for adults and children alike to have fun in a competitive atmosphere. I have never been a complainer nor a demander as I feel things will come with patience. For those adults that have been complaining or impatient, take some advice from a former Marine…. A closed mouth may collect dust but not criticism. Keep whining as you wish, Kleenex loves it and I’m buying stock… UURRAAHH!!!!!
