Yup, Michael this pic is for you. Nope, they are not saying ‘cheese’ for the camera. They are saying ‘Michael’. We missed you bud. Stay safe and get back soon.

Nobody tell Miss Ellie that 11 HOOTERS girls were all saying Michaels name. And notice the smiles on their faces.

Great pic Duff. I can almost hear them.

Thanks for the box too. I got it the other day. I really appreciate it buddy. The chow here is?..well?..lets just say that an MRE is more welcome then what the chow hall has to offer. So, the sauce that you sent is a great help when chow hall food is all there is.

    Take care bro.

You were in our minds the whole weekend. And I figured what better way to say helllo than with a picture. If you want an 8×10 photo or 36″x48″ poster for the hooch just let me know. I’ll get one sent over right away.

Glad to hear you got the package. I honestly had no idea what to send so I hope my collection of goodies was OK. That garlic-chili sauce from Singapore really has a nice taste to it, and should be able to spice up some of that chow hall food. I am starting to put together another package, so let me know what you need and I’ll get it added.

Also, I have a co-worker that would like to send a package to someone over there, so if you have a buddy that could use a care package, send me a PM or email with the name/addy and anything you think would be good to send.

You take care bud. Keep the head down and shoot straight.

I can tell you right now those care packages make huge differences. I recommend anyone that has ever thought of sending a package, don’t procrastinate and go ahead and do it. The men and women over there deserve it. I thankfully enjoyed the benefits of getting them in Bosnia and while sitting in the Adriatic Sea. I can’t describe what it does to moral. Hang in there Mike.

    Michael,
You maybe enjoying the ” Hooters”picture……but it is your picture, in uniform and armed that has made its way to page 66 of the June issue of National Kart News and a short article about your participation in Rotax racing in Colorado. You’ve made national karting news………..
Hang in buddy………ALL of your Colorado karting family are looking forward to your return to the track!

    Hey Mike,

I do have to say that after 45 days at sea without hitting a port they gave us 2 beers each…. it is amazing what 2 beers can do to you after 45 days. Thank goodness we didn’t meet the 90 day rule.. That could have gotten messy…

Hey guys, I have a few names to pass to you. These are our young guys that don’t have a family back in Colorado.

    Lucas Fleuri, Florida
    David Scott, California
    Queron Eddie, Alabama
    Fernando Galvan, Arizona

The address is the same as mine.
    FOB CENTRAL
    APO, AE 09342

All four are good guys with very little time in the army. These guys entered the army after the 9/11 attacks. They knew what the military was doing and that deploying to Iraq and/or Afgahnistan was a matter of when not if, and they joined anyway. Like I said, these four are good guys.

I put the state that they are from just so you all would have a bit more info on them. If you send a package to them let them know its from thier Colorado Karting friends.

    Hey Roger,
Welcome home and thanks for serving bro!

    Be cool guys.

Mikaela said she’s not waiting for you to bake granola bars and her waxing and electrolysis appointment is later this week so she’s making them tomorrow.

She does want to know if you (still) want to do a joint package or just send it by itself.

    OK,
My buddy from work is going to send a box to Eddie Queron. I’ll make up a box for David Scott. How about 2 other Karters step up and do one for the remaining two.

    Thanks to all in advance.

    Duff

P.S. Any ideas as to who to include from you that have been on the receiving end would be appreciated. Otherwise, I’ll just pack a bunch of stuff.

    Michael,

You should be receiving a package with race footage in a few days. Enjoy.

    Stay safe!

    Dear Mikaela,
Welcome back from The Heartland. We already sent Michael a small package of stickers to put on his rifel, not to be confused with his gun. I am sure he would love to get some of your granola bars and anything else you can muster up.
Hope your waxing goes well, as we plan on doing some waxing at Bandi this weekend.
Tell your brother we said hey, and to check his chain prior to 20 Sunday.

    Love,
    Curt

    Dear Curt:

    Mikaela here:
Thanks for the concern about my waxing. To be honest with you the heat was SO hot in the heartland that it all just melted away. Use your imagination.

My brother gave me a doghouse racing polo shirt from last year to wear on race day, 90 plus and 80% humidity. All I can say is this: Never wear cotton in those type conditions. Can you say NIKE DRI FIT…

There were all these big hunky men with signs that said “show us you T_ts” and quite frankly I was appaled. I wonder if that Apple gets the same harrassment. I’ll get on the granola bars tomorrow night. Oh and by the way, my brother said he’s going to drop TaG Masters like a bad habit this Sunday. Something about he’s due (but i checked the wastebaskets and there were no EPT tests so I have no idea what he’s talking about) :idn:

Ask your brother what he means by drop?

Drop as in; Chain, cylinder, tire, pipe baffle, clutch……….? Maybe your brother should let you wrench for him, for the full 20!

Be carefull sending the type of package you mentioned! (that might not be legal & might get caught up in customs)

Anyway hope your brother does good this weekend, he’s due and allway strong at Bandi. Maybe he can win one for Hurley.
