ParticipantSir,
If you do not know who I am, you have not been to a drivers meeting in Colorado for the races I’m involved with over the last 5 years. I will not respond to your additional post as I have documented my point. I wish you luck at your national race(s) and a great rest of the year here in Colorado. L206 is a fun class as are the other classes that race like Rotax and shifter kart racing. Thank you.

ParticipantSir,
I do not post on public forums often but I do read them. I have seen your posted responses on this site and your opinion does not directly promote a great sport. In order to promote and grow this sport the promoters, owners and you, the competitor, must do your part and promote the overall positive aspect of Karting. If you race L206 only due to a price point, that is great but posting anything but positive information for other classes beyond your price point, is negative in nature. Racing any Motorsport isn’t cheap, period!!! Karting budgets range from $5000 per year to over $500,000. Respect them all and promote. If you want more racers, focus on the positive aspects of the sport and not your opinion. Thank you.

ParticipantWhat a great competitive and challenging event. Everyone showed poise and respect that night.
From a Race Director to all karters, I would like to thank you for all your determination and display of great skills shown on race day.
I am honored to be in all your presence and thank you for the enjoyment of being able to watch.
I look forward to seeing all of you next race.

ParticipantI can say I met AJ when I first began racing. I knew who he was but never met him until he helped me at a race at Bandimere, without knowing him at all, he helped me when my kart would not start on the grid. He got me on the track for the race and it was a success. He was someone I always looked up to as a racer and enjoyed watching him race back in the day with Sam Walls and other pros from out of State. Thanks AJ for all you contributions to Colorado Kart racing. I hope all your endeavors prove to be the best for you and your family. Maybe someday we could be on track together so I could learn how to go fast. Godspeed…..

ParticipantGood to hear some folks have goals this season.. I’ll post mine although minimal. I would like to bench 275 this year at 170lbs. I would like to enter a long drive competition and place. I want to get my son to do some laps in his kart at 4 years old. I would like to drive a tag kart for the first time. I want to witness the best karting colorado has to offer in racing.
Jansen, sorry to hear you are broken. Time is all you need. Don’t push too hard too soon.. Take care..
Seller Fi all..

ParticipantHoly batcrap!!!! If you have a kart, get it ready!!!! If you have 2 karts, get yours ready and let me know you have another.. Just kidding. I’m so out of shape I would have a hard time doing 1 pushup.. This sounds like an event we have never seen. Weather looks mostly sunny and 80’s. If you haven’t had your 15 minutes of fame, your chance has arrived. Hope to see all Colorado karters out there… I look forward to watching some of the best racing Colorado has to offer.

ParticipantWell I can’t bottle it up any more. The Pepsi center race was more than any person could imagine. For a first time race to go off like this one is unprecedented as far as I am aware of. I raced at Steamboat, Greeley and Supernats and the atmosphere, venue and production at the Pepsi Center was above and beyond anything I have been involved or competed in. Those of you that wanted to race but couldn’t, I sure hope you make it next year. I chatted with Alan Rudolph in tech after he schooled me and everyone in the DD2 class and he really liked the the layout and venue. How could you not! I have woken up for 2 nights in a row, not my normal cold sweat, but thinking about driving the circuit at the Pepsi Center. SWEAT BROTHER!!!!!
I have to give my thanks to my sponsor “The Track” and all the folks involved with that organization. Jim, Carolyn, Josh, Matt, and all the folks there that just treat me and every other person with honesty and respect, I thank you and would certainly do anything for you as you have all done great things for me.
I have heard many quotes in my lifetime but one that has stuck with me is “With good leaders, there are those willing and wanting to follow.” As a former Sgt. of Marines, I am willing to follow good leaders and I will continue to do so.
Next year, if interest arise…. Sgt. Bonham’s PT for Karting…… Specific to karting… It isn’t to soon to get ready…

ParticipantFor those of you that remember Steamboat and Greely, well you might as well forget those and begin to remember Pepsi… This flipping race sounds like nothing ever put on….

ParticipantHey Cooks and staff…. The race was worth the drive, even after doing some spin moves on black ice with the truck and trailer at 4am on 6th Ave.. I seriously wish that on no one!!! The day turned out super though and the drive home with one eye open was no problem. See you at The Track in a couple weeks. Thanks again..

ParticipantMike… I just had a rice cake with no fat peanut butter and dry toast and herbal tea.. Nothing like a 3 course meal. I can’t imagine being ripped at 215 or 225 as I am a softy at 170… I have a couple of months to go yet…
Justin…. Don’t worry about the G1 stuff… Scuba places sell weights in 1 to 10lb incriments… Can’t wait for this season. It has been a couple of years and I’m itching for some track time… Right now I would race a rental kart on I-25 I miss it so bad…
Looking forward to seeing/meeting new and old faces over the season.
