    Roger and everyone else:

So I did a boot camp saturday morning at a local park here in Longmont…
I actually paid money to have someone whip me into cardio shape (the fact that she’s 26 had NOTHING to do with it)…

pushups; jog to the cone 30 yards away; jog back; pushups; high kicks; burkes; side lunges; jog with medicine ball over head; etc etc.
    Only for an hour… :puke
    fast forward to yesterday morning…
between my waist and ankles I feel violated…
Thank God for the couch. I held it down all day 8)

So, how’s everyone else’s training going?

WOW that is call CORE training good for you.Do that stuff 3 times a week and you will be ready to tackle karting this spring :rev … Let me know when you want to hit the gym then you can lift your couch……Ask Ken petrie about core training my wife trains him once a week ….Justin

    Justin,

Oh I’m still going to the gym but I’m revamping things. Instead of a legs day that involved heavy weights with lunges and squats I’ve replaced that with vertical jumps onto those aerobic step thingamajigs. Hitting 17 steps is tough and good for the heart and fast twich muscles. This core stuff is just that, core training. I’m just working muscles I never knew I had!

I never thought the day would come that I would actually enjoy doing bench vs. cones and stuff. More to come, and the winter grazing (actually, just throw the slop into my trough) weight is dropping now. I gotta get in Military shape, err, Roger shape 8)

What I was saying is g1 is the heavy guys shifter class ,,,,and if you race that class I will put you in a headlock…lol You would have to add weight anyway.. I could stand to loose 35lbs but cant….I am already shredded at 230…

I used to be shredded at 215…
Then I got into karting and gave up donuts 8)

Like they say Roger, no brain no pain. I mean no pain no gain. I’m off to each my spinach and tuna salad with lemon juice…that’s tuna, spinach and lemon juice… 😥

Mike… I just had a rice cake with no fat peanut butter and dry toast and herbal tea.. Nothing like a 3 course meal. I can’t imagine being ripped at 215 or 225 as I am a softy at 170… I have a couple of months to go yet…

Justin…. Don’t worry about the G1 stuff… Scuba places sell weights in 1 to 10lb incriments… Can’t wait for this season. It has been a couple of years and I’m itching for some track time… Right now I would race a rental kart on I-25 I miss it so bad…

Looking forward to seeing/meeting new and old faces over the season.

I wish Justin and Mike would stop hiding that they rub oil on each other before races. I’ve seen them in the trailer before pre-grid–Jansen with his spray on tanning solution, Justin with his big bottle of baby oil. Mostly I think it is Jansen’s Borat racing suit that bothers me.
