AJ Noud stopped by Wood Source one last time today. He is on the road to Indy. Lori and the girls flew out last weekend.

Sad to see him go but happy for him in the opportunity he has been given in Indy. He will be working for Impact Racing.

For you SKUSA Pro Tour followers and racers don’t be too surprised when you see him banging gears in S4 later this year. He will be piloting a Wood Source Sponsored Vemmehttp://www.vemmekart.com/ powered by SRShttp://srsengines.com/

Our local karting community has seen some really good guys move on to other opportunities this past year or so- Doug, Barry and now AJ.

Give AJ a shout out on this thread or Facebook- Let him know he is appreciated and wish him well.

    Godspeed my friend

    Cris,

Thank you for this post !!!

A.J. has been a fixture in the Colorado karting family for years, and he will be missed but not forgotten as he had helped Travis and Ryan out for years. My recent memory recall’s after Ryan winning a Skusa summer nats race, he was the first person to get a hug from Ryan. 🙂

We look forward to watching him in S4, it will be a blast from the past !!!

    Well said, both of you.

Best to You, AJ, and sorry to see you go! But you’re sure heading to the right town, racing and shops everywhere, and the right place for your career. Opportunity knocks and you’re wise to answer. Best!

Please say Hi to your Dad for us also… and Be Good, Don’t Change! :rotate:

    AJ,

It’s been a pleasure racing against you back in the DAY in the 100’s and working with you as kart racing promoters. I wish you and your family all the best that this opportunity has to offer. Please remember US OLD folks and thank you for teaching me to B SMOOTHE!

    WISHING YOU ALL THE BEST!

I feel like it’s the end of an era! AJ has been a karting fixture much longer than i’ve been around, but he was one of the first people I met in this sport in my first year. I cant even begin to count how many times he’s helped me out over the years, and i think that most everything I know about karting, I learned from AJ & the Kartworks team. And AJ definitely got me hooked on shifter kart racing! We’re sad to seem them go, but it sounds like a good gig in Indy. Hopefully I can make it to some Pro Tour races this year and see the man in action, S4 should be great to watch!

It’s been a pleasure racing & working with you, all my best to AJ and his girls!

Give me a call when you get settled in so we can hook up!
I could use a guy like you on the Midwest ProKart Challenge!

    Talk to you soon!

I can say I met AJ when I first began racing. I knew who he was but never met him until he helped me at a race at Bandimere, without knowing him at all, he helped me when my kart would not start on the grid. He got me on the track for the race and it was a success. He was someone I always looked up to as a racer and enjoyed watching him race back in the day with Sam Walls and other pros from out of State. Thanks AJ for all you contributions to Colorado Kart racing. I hope all your endeavors prove to be the best for you and your family. Maybe someday we could be on track together so I could learn how to go fast. Godspeed…..

I owe AJ Noud as much for everything that has happened in my announcing races as Curt Kistler. Both these guys took a chance on me two years ago, and what has happened since has been amazing.

Cris is right about seeing a bunch of great guys from CO move on. Both from the Mountain Region, first Curt and now AJ. All I gotta say, is that this sucks.

AJ, thanks for everything my friend. From helping my dumb ass when I was racing my self, to putting a mic in my hand. I wish you the best of luck where ever you end up.

    All the best,

    T
