Cool! I will have to see if I can get my wife and girl friend to go.
Is there any chance of parking a RV for the night there?

I reallize everyone wants rules now for next year. I also understand that IKF and WKA does not come out with there next years rules book untill the end of the year. Is that true with stars or skusa rules as well?
I do see that it would be sort of hard to nail down every rule for our next season, when the sanctioning bodies rules that we are steeling haven’t been issued yet. Tell me how we can have our CSC rules somewhat cordinate to national rules by making them before they do? The only way would be to run a year behind or don’t use there rules.
Blink has always had the meeting in Jan. after the other santioning bodies published there rules. How else could it be done?

Brad wrote,”a class for those of us that want to get on with our lifes in two strokes where most of you will end up in a few years anyway, believe it or not.”
Hay, I resemble that remark! Ok so I have no class. I knew that. 😆
I will bet the MM will gain in numbers and CSC will have them invloved, because it’s a 2 cycle communitty and the shops will promote it.
Besides just Jr. parents unable to afford the next step to to getting on with there lives. There is even adults in the TAG and shifter classes that have found out the cost of racing exceeds the amount they care to invest so they quit. The feeder classes are the most important classes for the fewture of karting. Speed and HP are the least of importance. A slow class with lots of competition is always more fun to watch and race than a fast class with out competition.

Dnew, The WF is not supposed to exceed 15 HP at sea level. The dyno readings that I have heard about does confirm less than 15.
I have just carried my name of Freezeman from my efforts of tring to develope my business Colorado Cryogenics.

I think to race the mini max and a briggs motor togather you would have to use the WF motor to have an all most even playing field. Then again they are two different birds. It’s about like saying lets race the adult mod animal in the master TAG class. I wouldn’t mind it but some of the slower tag guys wouldn’t like it much.
We are just lucky that we have too many choices of power plants to race.
Me being a sort of a die hard briggs guy in a 2 stroke community. I have gotten to the point of just waiting to see what class Colorado “orginizers”,”us” come up with that I would want to play in. The “Orginizers” have been grate in letting everyone voice opinions and rules to make up classes. All of us seem motivated to try get every one that has a go-kart, in a class, to race and participate. That’s grate, but it doesn’t lead to much of a “orginized” direction of growth, at least to a Briggs guy. My hat is off to all that made the last 2 years of the CSC work so well. In my dreams I see karting growing so well, that we would need to have a 2 cycle CSC Series as well as a 4 cycle Series. But then in reality I hardly ever see any Jr 4 cyclers move up to adult 4 cyclers. Probably because it’s a 2 cycle communitty and “Majority rules”.
The WF motor in stock form would be sweet as a JR TAG type motor as it does even have on board starting. $1000.00 race ready. The animals used in the Jr rules are stock animals with a stock cam, ( at least they are supposed to be), run $550.00 plus a gas jet kit of $34.00 and header $50.00, fuel pump $20.00, clutch $60.00-$120.00
    About $700.00 race ready.
    How much is a minimax?
The animal can be made into a WF and a WF made into an animal. Booth motors can be used in Jr. classes and be developed to be used when they become adults in adult stock/mod/open classes. There are national orginizations using the motors in there events as well as Briggs sponcered prize money.
OK so what now? :idn: Well, Bombardier has better marketing abilities to the recreationial public than Briggs does but Briggs will have more little motors in the publics hands before bombardier does.
I got to quit this :bs:

“If it is just about going fast and not about racing and competition why not invest in a TaG or shifter?”
What the heck does that mean?
Tag and shifter doesn’t have racing and competition?
So if I wanted more reliability I should buy an ICC shifter??

“The limited mod Animal will just result in fewer racers in the Senior 4 cycle class because of cost and unreliablity.”

There is all ready just a hand full of 4 stroke adult racers, how can there be fewer?

The main reason the four stroke adult class was lumped into one class was to let all us “left over karters” still participate in the SCS events, and to not take up too much of the race day with 3 classes of 4 strokes with 2 people in each class.
The WF motor was put into the class only because it was the only class.
Last year was the first full year for these motors and it was a learning year for booth motors.
One class for all four cycles will never have an even playing field.
Next year will be very similair. Most the new four strokers from this year will buy into the TAG program because that is the most popular class and best supported by shops here in Colorado.
George, even in your post you only step on the WF to promote TAG.
The playing field is even in four stroke racing. If you want to race a WF race other WF’s if you want to race an animal mod you better have an animal mod. I wouldn’t expect a pro shifter to install a restictor to race against stock shifters.
Tech time and headaches? When was the last time a four stroke motor got teched in Colorado? The reason we left the flatheads in the class was, again, so that all us left over karters/motors could come out and play.

As an experianced 4 cycle racer, racing in the deadest class in Colorado I am going to post my own thoughts on this issue.
There has been a few karters running the WF here in Colorado, the package is nice, if used as it was designed for.
We have been mixing all the adult four stoke classes togather at most races. IMI gets the most enties of adult four strokes at there events.
The WF and the mod animal booth are recondized with national rules orginizations as of 2005.
A legal wf is slower than a legal mod animal. When raced togather it seems that the wf’s owners first thoughts are to modify them to make them keep up with the mod animals. One of the first things they do is disconnect the rev limiter which was installed to protect racers from distruction of the heavy cast iron wheel that comes on them. Then they find out that the thing will spin more rpm’s, but at the expence of at least the blocks cracking from the added strain.
The WF really needs to be left in stock forum, if not, some rule enforcement needs to be put inplace for that cast iron wheel.
Whem reviewing the forums I see many Jr parents trying to decide what class will be there next step. It is sad to me that none of them seem to consider the four stroke classes as a possibility, when the WF could be the ticket to lots of great seat time and competition.
As far as tec issues with the animal mod, we were blessed this year with great competiters in the class. Sure we only had about 6 racers using them. No tech was ever used on us and I bet not one person in the class felt it was even needed.
With the adult class of four stroke being so small here I really would like to see a continued unoffication of our group. Even if it means adapting some new rules for the WF and the mod animal to compete evenly.
If there are any adults or soon to be adult racers that would like to join into our great group of racers please do contact me,Greg Johnson,Larry Gonzales,The Carelli family, The Greenly family, The Langes family, James Laursen, with any questions, all the speed secretes are free.
You don’t have to choose baseball in stead of racing if on a budget in this class, as I about won the championship on three race weekend tires and still had fun.

“We are going to use the World Formula as a Senior ( Sr.4-cycle) entry level class in 05 to the Rotax/TaG program”

Why not use it as an introduction to the class of 4 stroke karters?

It was just long enough for you to stay a head of me.
Or was it not long enough for me to catch you? I don’t know, but it was the wrong size for me that day. 🙁

I can see it now with the no pill rule of easy kart.

Ya, I was leading the race when my spindle yoke broke off my kart.

Well what do you think caused that?
I don’t know, maybe it was from all that twisting and bending we did on it yesterday when we had it on the scales.
    humm maybe.

Ok Brad, look at it as a hobby racer would.
I have to buy a set of tires for 170-210 bucks in return I “might” get a 5 dollar trophy. Opps @ IMI it might be a $15.00 trophy.

“How do you expect a business to survive without a profit.”
The same way you expect racers to continue to race, dig deep buddy.

I sure don’t have the answer. But it must be working out for the tire companies, as I do have tons of worn out tires and a bunch of plastic trophies.

I know nitrogen is generally used, but I have always wondered why argon isn’t used as well? I know it’s more expensive but many people all ready have a bottle of it with a regulater.

Rob w. is fixing me up with some fuel. Thanks Rob

I am pretty sure that IMI has FHS63R oil in stock. I could call to confirm and pay for it if somebody would pick it up and bring it.??
