I don’t know who laid out the Steamboat Springs track, but whoever it was did a great job. I was a little apprehensive about a parking lot track being Mickey Mouse, but the SS track had a good mix of corners, was wide enough for varied lines and passing, and wasn’t too slow. It was great fun to see how close you could come to the barriers at the apexes and exits of corners. It was also really cool to hear the exhaust reflecting off the barriers at the back side of the course. I hope we use this course again next year. Thanks a lot!

Thanks also to everyone who helped to set the track up and organize the event. It had to be a lot of work to keep everything running smoothly. It was a really fun event.

Charles, this was quite similar to last year’s track
    Last year – counter clockwise

    This year – clockwise

This year we had the TecPro barriers (no haybale cover incidents!) and the SKUSA official to help set it up.

The course this year seemed longer and faster than last year. I liked this years better, except for the bumps on the East and West straights. Those have got to be smooth out for next year. Safety hazard.

Thanks to all for your hard work!

Anybody know how long the track was?

It was just long enough for you to stay a head of me.
Or was it not long enough for me to catch you? I don’t know, but it was the wrong size for me that day. 🙁

To my surprise I really thought the track was Briggs friendly. Not to tight, which helped us, to keep it rolling.
