Quit feeling guilty! The saying goes like this:
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt

ParticipantYou know Jim, as fast as those karts are, you should have the side pod stickers replaced with a big “S”
Then we can say, “Look at those S Karts go”…
I couldn’t resist! :hehehe

ParticipantRick,
You started to sound like “you know who”

ParticipantThe only thing I can say is I wish the event was other than Memorial Day but you can’t please everyone!
Rick, great job in describing things. I felt like I was there and I really do wish to see the photos of Sophie and Ron. I’m glad to hear that Brad was all smiles along with the other owners. You all make me pround to say I’m a part of karting and the CSC.

ParticipantCraig,
Don’t get UR panties in a wad. 3 races in one month, final days of school, husband to cook and clean for and three kids to tend.
How’s that for an answer Angie?

ParticipantWell Gang, I am slightly burned on my ample forehead and I don’t think I’ve sweat that much in the 14 years I’ve attended the 500 (try 90 degrees and humidity) but it was one heck of a weekend with many memories. And the racing on the track was excellent too! Second closest finish in history. 92′ was the closest (and coldest)
Sam Walls and AJ Noud, a past competitor of Steamboat GP was on hand for the Indy Pro Series race on Saturday. I tried to say hello to Bobby Wilson but his race was even more exciting than the 500 (two passes for the lead on the last lap!) and I didn’t make it to the pits in time. He spun, ragained control and went on to pass several racers on the way to 4th. Good to see a fellow karter do well. I was telling folks at the suite that Sam Walls outqualified him and he will be at the F1 race. They expect you to fill them in with the technical information and current events in F1 so be forewarned Sam.
Glad you all had a fun and exciting weekend. Roman, happy birthday you old fart and congratulations on your win. Ron Reed, a silent “wave” for you. I’ll bet your Dad is bursting at the seams as he should be. Good for you!
I’ll see you all at the next race or practicing in between. Hope you allhad a good Memorial Day Weekend!

ParticipantThanks everyone.
I’d like y’all to go up to Greeley and show people what fun we have, how we conduct ourselves and the spirit of our sport.
Also, you don’t have to wear a tux up there but give that suit of yours a washing before you go. Wear a nice pair of shorts and shirt to dispell the thought that we’re all a bunch of grease monkeys with nothing better to do with our time (it might be true but no one else needs to know!)Dennis, as much as it pains me to skip Greeley the chance to see my folks takes precedence over this race. I actually love hanging with my pops and mom. And to do it at the Indy 500 makes for priceless memories.
BTW… My dad has driven an Indy car at Vegas, had a half shaft snap and go through that infield sideways at 150-160 but he STILL talks about going around the IMI backstretch corner and spinning into the weeds in your kart! Another priceless memory!Mike Jansen
ParticipantCraig, I’m having fun now. Once Renault realized that at my height I couldn’t FIT in an F1 car they tore up my contract. Of course, if they’d have listened to Ferrari they’d have known all along. How do you think Schumi and Alonso got their seats? 8)
I LOVE the competition and comeraderie that my class and other karters exhibit. Nothing like beating each other’s brains and tossing a cold one afterwards. To the kids who look up to us I just hope that we always set a good example in competition and sportsmanship. You can be a FAST driver and be a good sport about it. Heaven knows I’ve had my share of adversity yet I’ve tried to set a good example. Y’all have fun in Greeley.

ParticipantMike Jansen, TaG Masters CSC racer, came from last to fourth. AND STILL SMILING. Kart was teched, Event was run efficiently with good prestaging and great flagging. And STILL Having fun.
I didn’t know that walking on water was a requirement. But then again, STARS obviously must have “JC” monogrammed on their shirts…
