ParticipantDave, I am not so sure I trust those red blinking transponders. There have been some other races with some weird lap times.

ParticipantPush both beads of the tire at a 45 deg angle over the inboard side of the rim, it is smaller. Use dish soap and water to lube the tire and rim. If it is cold, warm up the tire a bit. I stuck mine in the oven a few minutes on low. Hope that helps….

UfDa, that fine makes the NASCAR guys look like the Hillbilly’s they are. Just chump change for the McLaren camp.
Is this what Norwegians think of NASCAR?
If my son reads this thread, I’ll have to explain what this means even though I am not sure myself. Both of my sons and I are big fans NASCAR as you can see by there karts…

ParticipantThis is what Tyler’s front right looked like after the last club race main at IMI. Is this tire wear or did it blister or both? I bought these from Barry before the 2nd IMI race this season. I thought that these would last close to all season on a lighter JR2 kart.

ParticipantYouth is a wonderful thing. I know any of us adults would have been laid up for at least a week after that tumble. Glad to hear that all is well. Hope the kart survived too.

ParticipantEye M Eye …..I thought it was just a weird looking nose

ParticipantJim, Is the kid kart timing loop fixed or will they be running the full track again with fewer laps? I personally like the full track for them with fewer laps (Trevor liked it too), less congestion on the track for the kids to deal with.. JMO

ParticipantThe same view of IMI:
Action doesn’t have this view yet….

ParticipantThis may be a dumb question since I am relatively new to karting as of last year but, why aren’t small mirrors allowed on the karts? Do they fall off a lot or something? Do they hurt more than they help somehow? Seems glancing in a mirror would be safer than spinning your head both ways to find where the faster driver really is..

ParticipantBrad, How much?
Given how much trouble the old ones were at the race, I don’t think I would mess with buying a used one anywhere. Wouldn’t trust the battery. Besides, they still go for over $200 on eBay and the extra money for a new one is cheap insurance that your laps will count.
I asked the question before if you could use the same transponder for 2 different classes and the answer was yes. Is this still true as long as they do not run together?

ParticipantBrad, Will the new surface have the magnetic timing strips and if so how many will there be?

ParticipantTerry, I agree that the Briggs Mod class looks like the most fun right now and the small field will not get you in trouble while learning. If I had the time I would be racing with that class. I have two kart to maintain and get race ready besides mine. And now I would have to race with my son in the JrII class. ( They are grouped with them).

ParticipantI may have to check where you are pitting so I can keep the kids away…
