Okay, so there’s a trick, right?
I pulled the old ties off but the new ones…well, I’m not doing something right, I guess, because once I get one side on, and flip it over, I can’t get the other even close.
What should I do?
September 25, 2007 at 6:46 pm #59576Les PrinsParticipantPush both beads of the tire at a 45 deg angle over the inboard side of the rim, it is smaller. Use dish soap and water to lube the tire and rim. If it is cold, warm up the tire a bit. I stuck mine in the oven a few minutes on low. Hope that helps….

I’ll have to find someone who can show me how to do it, I guess.
September 26, 2007 at 7:11 pm #59578Brad LinkusParticipantWe have a real nice tool to take them off and put them on without spending $800 on a tire machine. Only $200 or you can bring your tires down and Ill show you how to do it by hand.
