ParticipantTerry, The Briggs Mod class isnt dying. Its always been a small class .There a few classes that have small numbers, but for some reason nothing is said about them. 😯 Certain people just cant get past the “Lawn mower engine” aspect, and/or its personal. Also a couple of us Briggs Mod. racers are turning TAG lap times. I have an 2nd, complete race ready package 4 sale. This chassis will also accept a TAG motor . PM me and I can give you details.Check out http://www.briggsmodrules.4t.com for class info.

ParticipantThanks…
So Greg… Tell me about this race ready unit you have. Where can I see it, cost, type of engine (animal or world fomula?), brand of chassis? I am interested.May 5, 2007 at 5:48 pm #57785Greg Johnson

Participant:cheers: Terry,no doubt about it, briggs mod is a very good start but $$$$ wise or at longe term is more expensive than tag,we start racing briggs, but to be competitive is a lot of money and time that you need to spend working on your engine, and remember the more karts on the track the more that you learn.

ParticipantTerry,
The best thing about the Briggs Mod guys is that we are like a big family. We all pit together, BBQ together after the race, and we are friends off the track. We also are there to help each other out with our equipment.
With all the whining that goes on amung the other classes, is why I will always be a BRIGGS guy! We know we are not going anywhere in the sport to further our career, so all we do is have fun. And that is what we do.
So join us and have the time of your life!!!May 6, 2007 at 1:06 am #57788Bobby Sanchez

ParticipantTerry, I agree that the Briggs Mod class looks like the most fun right now and the small field will not get you in trouble while learning. If I had the time I would be racing with that class. I have two kart to maintain and get race ready besides mine. And now I would have to race with my son in the JrII class. ( They are grouped with them).

ParticipantThanks for all the feed back. I’m currently working on somethings with Greg and Dave. Looks like I will be part of our “little” field before the season is half over, one way or the other.
This is a dream I’ve had since I watched A.J. win his 3rd Indy back in ’67. (Yes, I can remember that one, but I was only 6 at the time so I’m not THAT old!)
I will see you all at The Track on the 20th… just to see what goes on, ask questions etc. - AuthorPosts
