Josh, don’t let the haters get you down. A subie is an EXCELLENT tow vehicle. I’ll show you my big-pimpin 94 legacy rust bucket next time you are at the track. 215k miles and running like a champ. You can stuff it to the gills with kart gear..hell, I actually got my whole kart PLUS gear in the back of the wagon! Then i got real and got a cheap trailer…much better now.

I used to have a WRX..but that was another life…before kart racing.

Was that a Freudian slip? I always thought Charles was pretty laid back.

For more Vampire info, go to http://www.suterracing.com/vampire.html (though it’s auf Deutsch)

I’m surprised that there hasn’t been any Buffy references yet.

Hey it’s better than all of the ORAL references I have been holding in reserve. (ref the OTHER 4 stroke TaG which no one seems to be racing…must be the awful name.) Has anyone around here bought an Oral?

One little mistake and you go from 1st to 5th in a matter of one corner. Pretty amazing to watch, and they are the elite drivers in karting.

I must be an ICA driver then! I’ve gone from 2nd to last in one corner!

The point of my post was to ask if TaG is essentially a lower cost (less Hp, fewer revs, harder tires, etc) version of ICA. Do we agree that it IS direct drive once we leave the pits? (ignore the starter for a few moments, irrelevant)

Thanks Zip! That is a really nice offer and very generous. I may come up to IMI to watch but I really MUST maintain my fiscal discipline and avoid ANY unnecessary spending. That includes entry fees, fuel, etc. The racing is OFF until I get a job.

I’ll be back out there dicing again with you guys very soon. Now if that damn recruiter would just call me back….

To put my situation in perspective, I am not even buying beer. Those that know me understand how drastic that is.

Dave, Thank you again for the very generous offer.

Hello Jason. Welcome to the Colorado Karter. We jack most threads around here. Don’t be shy about steering it back on target. What karts are you considering?

Rick, your quote process explanation was exemplary. I don’t flame you, I reserve that humor for the hummingbird.

Although I think there is a correlation towards your improvement and getting rid of Orion, err, Mr. Porno Pants…

Orion watches…and WAITS. He’s just waiting to pounce on your next avatar attempt. Orion is unemployed (porno biz is slow these days) so he has LOTS of time to watch for your latest internet skin (no wait…not skin!)

Shifters or TaG? Lots and lots and lots of internet ink has been spilled on this topic on another, less well-known discussion board called http://www.ekartingnews.com Cruise over there and crack open the ol’ FAQ section for valuable insight.

Have you driven a TaG yet? This is my second year in TaG and I still suck and lack consistency. I bought a used kart and didn’t (still don’t?) know what I was doing. A TaG kart is plenty challenging and FAST. I have not driven a shifter and therefore cannot comment on whether or not a new racer should buy one.

Whatever you buy, make sure you have the support of a shop or team behind you. You’ll get faster, sooner. Oh, and practice…A LOT.

Welcome to karting. Please post your name. I doubt I’ll be calling you JDubb when i see you at the track.

I liked that jump. Gave the place character. Smoothing it down is a travesty. Don’t bow to the pressure, Brad!

Well, I just got laid off yesterday, looks like volunteering for the Grands may be a lot easier than I thought. On that note, it looks like my racing is done for awhile, too.

Anyone need a VoIP sys admin? I should have my resume done by this afternoon. This sucks.

What is the difference between TaG Senior Heavy and Tag Masters? (seems redundant)

Might be my only time to EVER run anything called a WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. 😯 Will there be t-shirts? The price is right.

    I think I’m in.

I have been thinking that this forum had been toooooo quiet over the last few days…eeerily quiet. Leave it to Jansen to spice it up.

Jansen, do you need any avatar suggestions? I have a few…

Get cracking, post your new (hopefully improved) version.

I’ll be turning 36 on Sunday…I went ahead and bought myself some new tires to celebrate. 2nd set this year!
