There are two teams with three players, and one team with some additions, so there may be some team changes at the last minute. No problem with me or the GC. Everythig will sort out as it always does.
If more groups show up to play you may be on your own with the golf course. Just let them know you are part of our tournament so they can post your scores, and monitor the long drive and close-to-the-pin awards.

I will be out at the course around 12:00 if there are any changes. The rules will be handed out prior to your T Times. No special rules, just your basic scramble format will be played.

Angie, IMI and the Colorado Karter have bucked up with a beautiful traveling trophy to be awarded to the winning team. Thank’s go out to them for their support of our other hobbies.

That’s it for now. Thanks to all the teams support and I look forward to a fun afternoon in a beautiful setting.

You can contact me at 303-901-2984 for any questions or concerns.

    Richard,
I like what the Champ Car teams did at the Mini Grand Prix Kart Challenge this year. The loosers wore credientials that stated the winner, Team Newman/Hass, was the best team we ever raced against. It was classic to see the response of both sides.

Maybe we can have all the loosing teams and drivers wear a Rookie X on the back of their shirts and helmuts on Saturday and Sunday.

I can’t imagine buying your team dinner, not even Keesling could afford that!

If we won Matt and Ben would choose Micky Dee’s for their dinner. :idn:

    Rich V,
With Ken Mc bailing out yesterday and Roger B bailing out last week, guess who is playing with Matt and I now?

You got it, the Schmerhorn’s. Need I say more about our Kart Sport poster girl and who’s playing with whom?

    Rich,
Just left you the same note on side bets on your Rock post. Great minds think the same.

We will take any side bets, and Apple is already playing on our team.

    Richard,
Sounds like a great move to have Rob on your kart. He was pumped last year after his ride and should be ready to rock this year.

Hope you guys have fun, and tell the “King of Streets” to bring another title home.

    Curt

PS: Any side bet’s on golf Friday?

I would hope someone has enough spec fuel for Steamboat to go around.(All Classes) It sounds like a great time to pull out the old fuel sniffer which has been missing at the last 4 CSC races. If the spec fuel rule will be lifted due to availability, it would be nice to know prior to SSGP so I can contact NASA for some juice.

    Angie,
What is the VP fuel situation going to be in Steamboat? Will there be fuel to purchase up there, or do we need to stock up at IMI prior to the trip?

    Thanks,
    Curt

    Richard,
I have been in touch with Mike and set up your additional team. Your good to pay at the course on Friday.

Now I will need to get a “Best Looking Team” trophy with your poster boy team of yourself, Alan, AJ and Freddy. 😉

BTW, Matty shot a 73 from the tips at The Ridge last Thursday. You should have signed him as your driver this season. He may be available in 06, you never know.

Thanks to all of the teams and players who have paid on time. I will be sending everything up there next Monday so we can get this event in the books.

The remainder of teams/players who have not paid, and are planning on paying at the course, need to remember that they are expecting you to show up. Friday afternoons, that time of year, are prime time for golfing.

I will have rules and T Times prior to the 26th.

    Have a great weekend!

    Or to quote Keesling,
    YEA BABY!!!

    Thanks Bill

I spoke with Ian and Jay today about payment. I also contacted the course. It is OK to pay with credit card on the day of the tourney, 8-26.

HOWEVER, the gentleman I am working with on this is a little weary that this opens the door for the evil NO-SHOW. 👿

I have signed the contract and faxed it back, so now I am liable also for no-shows. Let’s try to stick to putting the checks in my hand and go with plan “A” if possible. The course and I have worked hard to get to this point, and we have a full field of players committed.

    Call with any questions,
    Thanks
    Curt

    Great idea Ian,
I have 970-870-1846. Ask for Tim, and let him know you are with the SSGP.

Anyone else want to use this method should do so before Friday, 8-12.

Just let me know when and if you do pay direct so I can keep track.

    Thanks,
    Curt
