ParticipantJust a thanks to all who showed up yesterday to sell their stuff. I had a great time talking to everyone and listening to all of the discussions for going forward into the 2008 season. There are many great ideas floating around right now and somehow we all need to get together for a formal discussion. (Soon)
Thanks again to Byron for making the treck from Steamboat, and Doug for setting up his entire shop and taking the time to discuss what karting is all about to the newbies who showed up. Great cake was provided by Rick and Lucy, and Freeze get’s the award for bringing out the most interesting stuff. How you fit all that back into your trailer will always be a mystery to me Rod. Thanks to Bob for the free beer and Loraine’s catering for the spicey burritos as well.
We sold some stuff, and possibly even sold out kart after the SuperNats!!! Hopefully everyone else sold or bought something for next year. I look forward to the next swap meet as they seem to get larger every time.
Take care,

ParticipantNo wonder you never answered my PM to you about sitting in the box with us at Coors Field for game 3.
Sorry buddy, I guess it’s Angies fault. 😥Curt Kistler
ParticipantBring them to the swap meet Stacey. What’s another tug over a snow packed pass going to hurt? :crash

ParticipantOh My God, it does work
Friggin Al Gore must have not designed the internet as good as he originally thought. Looser….

The last one I went to, I came home with more than I left with but… I like to think I walked away with some very good bargains and gave some as well. It was fun too.
I had the same problem. I still don’t understand why I thought I needed that 538 chain breaker or that 40mm 29 tooth rear gear. 😕
Just heard from Shockwave, they will be here with the big rig and I will just bet Doug will have some smokin deals.

ParticipantBump….
We should have enough room for several trailers to set up, however, if you can use the back of a pick up or van we should be able to accomodate everyone.
The date should hold up, let’s hope mother nature cooperates.
I will also post an add on the classifieds, and Karting Business sites.

ParticipantTAG UAS does have a shifter class. They run a restricted TM K9B with an electric start. While they are a bit slower in lap times than the TM’s run on the pro shifter circuit, they are fun to watch as this is a very tight class.
BTW, the guys driving this weekend in this division are all world class and represent the same team from Vancover BC. Look at their times and names closer you may see some familiar drivers.
Aside from the wind and dust yesterday, the event has been very fun. Come on out today and root all the CO Karters on.

ParticipantGo into the TAG USA World Champoinship home page, open up the entry form, and you will see the schedule for the entire weekend.
Hope that helps.Curt Kistler
ParticipantThere seems to be a few more interested buyers than sellers. I spoke with a few of you already about this event and all I hear is there are new karters looking for good deals on used karts to get into this sport.
Hopefully there are some interested sellers out there that will come and participate as we have already sold our 2007 complete set up.
I also have heard from one fellow kart tuner dad who has a garage full of parts and extras to sell. If it’s going to be just a few interested parties I will set something else up for the folks looking to deal.
Do we need to place an add in the local papers to advertise this sale for the rest of the uninformed?
Your thoughts are welcome, or I will do something else on that day non kart related.
Thanks,
Curt Kistler
ParticipantI will put some GJ race video up on You Tube as soon as I can find some time.

ParticipantMy lower back just thanked you

UfDa, that fine makes the NASCAR guys look like the Hillbilly’s they are. Just chump change for the McLaren camp.
Is this what Norwegians think of NASCAR?
If my son reads this thread, I’ll have to explain what this means even though I am not sure myself. Both of my sons and I are big fans NASCAR as you can see by there karts…
I love NASCAR too lprins. Ask anyone who the only Jeff Gordan fan is, and willing to admit it. I was referring to what F1 thinks of NASCAR. Typical F1 teams and drivers do not think too highly of anything not CIK FIA. Even though some F1 drivers are starting to come here for big bucks.
Come on over some time and we will tell you where the #22 comes from on our kart.- AuthorPosts
