ParticipantWe always wait until the national schedules are set before making our schedule. We will be meeting this week to discuss many things, that is one of them.

Participant$1500-$2000 Comer engines is what you get with IKF, WKA rules. If that is what you want for your kid to compete in this class then go for it. If not then take a serious look at my offer.

ParticipantThere are not 15-20 newbies with a Rotax as far as I know in the Denver area. I guess I should ask what a newbie is in your opinion Rich. It looks like your list is all the newbies.

ParticipantI didn’t know you were Freezmans girlfriend Angie. Where are you and Freezman going to park the RV?

ParticipantWe are supplying the food and the drinks from our own sources this year, not a hotel. This way you get more for your money rather than pay a hotel $4 for a beer or $30 for dinner only.

ParticipantI also want to add that the dinner includes (no charge, open bar) drinks: Beer, Wine, mixed, pop, juice, water, did I say Beer?

ParticipantYou cannot machine the crankshaft on any TAG engine and be legal. It is common to rebuild the crankshaft with a new rod, crank pin and bearing. Then the crank is reassembled and trued. Most factory cranks are trued to within .001″ runout, we try to true cranks to .0003″.

ParticipantIts not me, it may be George as he has six names he uses and he kind of reminds me of him with his comments.

ParticipantDuring the testing of TAG engines last winter with SKUSA and TAGUSA this question was brought up, but the RM1 does not conform to the basics of the class, mainly the two speed gear box is the problem. The answer to the question is no I don’t believe it will be allowed.

ParticipantWe will be using the Oct 17 rain date and it will be double points to make up for two races we lost this year.

Participant100,000 would be nice, that would be 2000 per state. There are many states with less than 100 and some with no tracks to race at all. I would say the number is closer to 30,000-35,000. There is alot of turnover in this sport with the average karter racing about 3 years. This leaves many used karts available which keep being resold many times. There are probably more karts in the garage than are racing.

ParticipantI was only contacted about two issues at Steamboat, the Vortex reeds on an 80 and a chassis. I was not called on the kid kart class. It is a little late to go back and do tech now in my opinion, one person should have handled it and not throw the issue back and forth between people who were not educated enough or felt empowered to make a decision. That is the main reason for us wanting to have a tech director for the series so there will be no hard feelings or questions left open like this one days later.
