ParticipantWe will poll the kid kart parents and see what they want to do. There have been quite a few that want to do the whole track after trying it at Jims.

ParticipantFlynn won 1st in the unresricted class. Maurio won 1st and Tate won 2nd in the resricted class after a DQ on the 1st place finisher. I have not heard if everyone passed tech yet. Way to go boys!!

ParticipantI get updates from Marsha a couple of times a day who is getting updates from Rob. I don’t know what they are doing with the fuel but I hear that a low octane combination with an unknown substance is the way to go.

ParticipantTate is running the restricted class because he does not have a $3000 Comer to run the other class. There are many in the restricted class with high $ engines he has to run against too but not as many. They have about half the number of entries as last year. The blueprinted engines and all the BS with the fuel has ruined the race for most people. Michael May even has a fuel tester to check his own fuel mix to see if it passes.
This should be about the kids driving and having fun instead of about how much money you spend, your fuel mix or who you get your engine from.Flynn probably has the best shot of getting on the podium, he has a new kart and a new blueprinted engine just for this race. He was pretty fast in practice and should be up front.

ParticipantThe Vampire is a 4-stroke TAG and there is a class for it in the CSC and the IMI/TheTrack series. The lap times are almost as fast as the shifters. If you want to run the Rotax series you must have a Rotax. Run a few different types of engines and see which one you like best. The 4-strokes cost more up front but they cost less to run and are more like a car, just get in and push the start button and go, less work to do on the engine. They are also very fun to drive with the torque and power band of the engine.

ParticipantJudging by your taste in cars I would recommend a 4-stroke TAG engine, Vampire, on either a Intrepid or a GP chassis. Come by and test drive one this week if you are interested.

ParticipantThe track will not be ground for a couple of weeks. Because of that we are going to run the track clockwise. The bump does not get you off the ground in that direction. Practice will be clockwise all week also.

ParticipantStacey,
I have more spots open if you want one. I think Sam is going and I hope to get AJ there too, we are going to do a fund raiser for him. Kyle and Marc may also come back. I may be getting a few Vampire rides opening up for the USA also on top of the 12 Orals.
There is a very good chance that Michael Schumaker is going to race a Oral in this event.
It would be great to tell everyone you ran into Schumaker, as he was lapping you and put him in the wall!

ParticipantGreg,
You should not have a problem, you won’t catch air unless you have a fast kart. We are going to video a fast kart going over and then have the rise milled at less of an angle so you stay on the ground. It looks like up to a inch will have to come off for about 12 feet.

ParticipantCharles just left the shop picking up his trailer. He did not break anything, just brused and scraped. He is more worried about getting his kart back together. Charles still has a good attitude considering what he went through. His kart looks like it can be repaired.
