ParticipantJim,
We have not turned in our entry form yet but the Karting Coach Team will be there for the TaG class. Should be a great time for all!!mweatherman
ParticipantAny updates on the 24hr race? I am getting my team together to run the TaG class. What are the rules? How many people are planning on attending?? Is anyone interested in an arive-and-drive TaG team?
Thanksmweatherman
ParticipantDo you know if they are planning on lighting the new track so they can have night races?

ParticipantRich,
Thanks for posting. That is the exact reason why I posted the question. Does anyone else feel that a webpage that lists currently used numbers in each class would be a valuable resource?
Thanks,mweatherman
ParticipantI’m in for ANY Enduro event. 6hrs, 12hrs, 24hrs, heck ill enter for a 48 hour envent! If you are worried about wearing out your equipment then you are in the wrong sport! Lets get this show on the road. I’m IN. Anyone need a ride for it?

ParticipantSorry to see the race end this way. It was a great venue and I for one will miss it dearly. I think that much of the Colorado Karting Community down-played and deiscredited this event way too much. We had a great opportunity to not only show the rest of the karting world but the general public how strong of a karting following we have out here. :bang For those of you who went to the Home Depot Grand Prix of Littleton, you know what kind of potential we can have at these events. Littleton was not perfect, but it was one of the most exciting temp race events I’ve seen in years. Rusty, Drew, and crew, you did a PHENOMINAL job at both of these events. I never realy understood what it takes to organize and event such as these until I lended a helping hand at Littleton. I can only hope that we continue to persue temp races such as these in the coming years, and I will be first in line to once again lend a helping hand. Great job Rusty, we are here for you.

ParticipantYou know, if you set your kart up right then you realy wont tear it up to bad. Of course you and your fellow drivers will have to keep their noses clean and keep the kart on the track, but if you can do that, what else are you going to tear up?? Keep in mind that we are talking about 3hours worth of track time!!
A) How many sprint races would it take to acheive 3 hours of track time??
B) Consistency will win you the race, not fastest lap.
C) IMI realy isnt that tough on equipment imho. When I raced my SCCA car in an enduro, it was the easiest race on our equipment and the most fun we had all year. Despite being short 1 driver and running out of fuel after the first stint, we still managed to be consistent enough to finish 2nd in class.
For what it is worth, this is what I plan to do to my kart to make sure it goes the distance:
Gear down! Drop 500 to 800 off your regular top RPM and save the motor.
Mix the fuel just a little heavier on the oil and richen the carb a TOUCH to help lube and cool the motor.
If allowed, run a harder compound tire. Drop a few tenths per lap but save tons of time in the pits.
Soak a new chain (Panther Chain??) the night before the race and lube the chain at every pit stop.
New gears front and rear.Just my thoughts.
Lets get this enduro started!!

ParticipantSo it looks like there is some interest for this enduro. Is there anyone working on the details or are we all dreaming it up here? I will volunteer to help set this up, I say we get some of us together to work out the details and make an official race announcement SOON!
Some questions I’m sure many of us are asking:
How much $$$$
What Classes
What Rules
Pit stop/driver change rules
Hot/Cold pit rules
How long? TIme or laps?Lets get this party started!!

ParticipantI’m all for it and possibly looking for team mates. If I get enough interest I might be able to get 2 or 3 karts together with openings. Anyone interested e-mail me at [email protected]

ParticipantGreat to hear you are so interested in our sport! There is a lot of information out there and, unfortunatly, you sometimes have to dig for it. I have been racing for 9 years now, started in karting, went to SCCA, and am now back in karting (with the occasional SCCA dable). The karting community is a great community, and especialy here in colorado, it is strong. Welcome!!! I hope that I can provide some insight for you in the future. Please give me a call or shoot me an e-mail sometime and I would be more than happy to share my experince with you. Earlier this year I started to offer my services as a Coach through my new company Karting Coach. I hope that I can be of service to you and help you make some well educated decisions.

ParticipantBlink,
How much are the transponders? Are they the new or old style?mweatherman
ParticipantHello everyone,
I am glad to hear that everyone involved in the accident is well and in good spirits. Seeing everyone band together at the hot-pit to offer their prayers and concern is a true testament to just how great of a racing community we have here in Colorado.
Kudo’s to the corner workers and emergency service personel that were on site at the time.
In light of the events that took place on Sunday, I would like to encourage everyone to consider attending the KartingCoach.com ‘Basics of Karting 101’ for KadKart and Jr1 Compettitors.
