ParticipantIf you have an iPhone or iPad, the EKN commentary is streaming inside Race Monitor. When you open the race in the app there is a green button in the lower left corner that looks like a speaker. Tap that icon to stream the audio from with the app.
If you haven’t been to the PKRA track out here in Phoenix, it’s a very challenging track. Lots of rubber down already. It’s going to be a fun race!

ParticipantYears ago we had a exhibition kart race out at I-76 Speedway. Lots of fun until it came time to clean the kart. Still worth it though. Might be worth someone giving them a call to see if they would be interested in hosting a kart race again.

ParticipantAll,
Please allow me to personally appologize for the issues with this site. I have a strong desire to support the colorado karting community in any way I can. I am working on a solution to streamline the posting issue asap. Eddy is absolutly correct that the recent posts have been regarding SKUSA events. If you do look back at those posts you will see that Stan has made those posts, not me. I am not defending the situation, however I want it to be clear that I am in no way trying to make a preference toward SKUSA RMPKC on this site. This site is for ALL Colorado Kart racers and series and I would like to keep it that way.
As I said, I am working on a solution ASAP for this. Eddy, Jim, Stacey, Stan: I will be in contact with you soon to discuss some options to help bring this site back to its former glory back when Angie was running it.
Again, my appologies for the issues. I take full responsability for it.
If I have left any track, series, promoters, etc. out of my post please feel free to contact me.
Thanks,
Mike Weathermanmweatherman

ParticipantAll,
Seeing some negativity in the most recent posts. Lets keep this moving forward in a positive manner. If there are racers out there that feel what is being talked about will exclude them unless they pony up some $$ to get new equipment, then lets talk about what everyone is running and how may racers. Correct me if I am wrong, but TaG includes multiple engine types, not just Rotax and Leopard. My point is, can we make the classes work for as many as possible without adding 200 classes.
Lets get some rough numbers together on how may people are running different packages so we can see where there would fit.mweatherman
ParticipantFellow Karters,
I know there are a lot more of us out there that are passionate about this subject than have posted replies.
The only way we can make a difference is to communicate, so lets start talking.
This coming weekend (October 8 & 9) is the final race of the season for PPKRC. Roger Miller has graciously envited everyone down to PPIR and have an opportunity for all of us to let our voices be heard. I encourage all who can attend to come down and lets get these discussions flowing. 2012 can be a great year if we all work together for the good of the sport.

ParticipantRuss,
I unfortunately would not be able to have it ready for this weekend, but if you are still interested in an arrive and drive kart for a race I can have one ready for you fairly soon.
Please feel free to contact me at any time and we can talk more.
Thanks,

ParticipantWell the 2009 24 Hours @ The Track is in the books. If you missed it, it was a grueling race of attrition once again this year. There has been a lot of doubt about our sprint race equipment being able to handle making it to the end of one of these events and I think that this years race should prove that it can do it well.
Thanks to Jim Keesling for hosting and organizing such a great event once again. This is by far the most challenging race I have competed in in my 11 years of racing and am proud to now say that the Karting Coach team has won!
I do want to thank everyone who helped us this year:
Our sponsors Peak Eurosport, Big O Tires, and Grease MonkeyOur Pit Crew: Rich Lubischer, Richard Southall, Luke Vaughn, and Greg Weatherman
and our Drivers, (Mike Weatherman), Mark Lubischer, Will Calton, and AJ Noud
I know alot of people are wondering what special things we did to make a Leopard Tag run the whole distance so here is a list of what we used:
2 sets of tires (sorry but the details on tire selection is our secret!)
4 sets of brake pads
1-engine – built for sprint race specs!! (no, we did not run it rich or stack base gaskets or anything like that)
3 chains
3 rear sprockets
3 countershaft sprockets
1 roll of racers tape
About 30 gallons of MS98
**Our Italkart Chassis and Leopard engine held together so well that we finished the race with the same lap times that we were running at the start of the race!!Thanks again to everyone who competed in this race and made this race possible!!
