Is it just me or are the only post that can be posted on the home page SKUSA post’s. PPKRC has sent in many post for the home page and then never make the Home page. What’s up?
I thought this was the “the Colorado Karter” we all have our own site’s. What’s up with the monopoly of home page being used by one organization, not doing much to help karting in Colorado.
We have sent in information about this weekend’s race and it still hasn’t been posted?

Yep, last 13 home page post are from the same org.

For this weekends schedule at SBR click the link on the home page of http://www.ppkrc.com. By the way, all should know, we are told TTAC has a relaxed program race all inclusive on 14 July. Very cool…..

Who’s the site manager for the Colorado Karter???? As Roger stated, WE have made a number of attempts to get things posted on the front page this season, and in doing so we have waited for a timely opportunity to avoid conflict with other organizational post. Additionally, have asked to make contributions/donations to help maintain the site with no success.
:anyone if you can help or let us know what’s going on, please give me or Roger Miller a call.

    Eddy,

I believe that Mike Weatherman and his partner at Karting Coach are the site administrators now. I don’t have their contact information, but I will see them at the RtR race this weekend.

    Thanks Richard

Yes, we have had a very supportive and trusting relationship with Mike over the years and before with Angie. Just wonder if something has changed on the posting process, as we have not had a response to our phone calls and email request.

Mike, please pm me or give me a call to let us know what’s going on. Hope everything is OK with you.

I think it should be noted that Mike has been VERY busy in Grand Junction this weekend supporting a tent full of drivers at the 4th and 5th rounds of the RMPKC in Grand Junction.

Just as when Angie was in charge people in the karting community seem to have this interesting delusion that running TheColoradoKarter is the admin’s only job. Surprisingly enough though, its not. Mike also manages the KartingCoach race team that fields several drivers in races all season long.

Yes Tony, no delusions here. We are all very busy this time of year. However, if you must know and chime in, the requests were well ahead of the weekend and have been, this was not the first time this has happened. Look at the facts and dates on the last 5 home page post. There was time for SKUSA post. This is the Colorado Karter. We are patiently waiting for Mike to respond.

    Thank you,
    Eddy

    All,
Please allow me to personally appologize for the issues with this site. I have a strong desire to support the colorado karting community in any way I can. I am working on a solution to streamline the posting issue asap. Eddy is absolutly correct that the recent posts have been regarding SKUSA events. If you do look back at those posts you will see that Stan has made those posts, not me. I am not defending the situation, however I want it to be clear that I am in no way trying to make a preference toward SKUSA RMPKC on this site. This site is for ALL Colorado Kart racers and series and I would like to keep it that way.
As I said, I am working on a solution ASAP for this. Eddy, Jim, Stacey, Stan: I will be in contact with you soon to discuss some options to help bring this site back to its former glory back when Angie was running it.
Again, my appologies for the issues. I take full responsability for it.
If I have left any track, series, promoters, etc. out of my post please feel free to contact me.
    Thanks,
    Mike Weatherman

Thank you Mike. Like you, we absolutely want to do all we can to support ALL Colorado Karting and truly appreciate and respect the challenges you have in managing the site with so many wanting to get front page viewing. Simply shows how important the Colorado Karter site is to everyone.

Moving ahead, focusing on the positive something coming up, we would like to have a opportunity to get a post on the front page announcing the Kart Racing for Heroes Event and CJKC/PPKRC Race at SBR next month 3 and 4 August. We are preparing a press release when you are ready.

Hope to see you Sunday at TTAC.

    Guys,
All I do is post under the “News” topic and until someone else does the same and knocks me down, it stays there!

    Simple forum posts, no tricks!

    Respectfully,

    Stan

    Hello Stan

I could be wrong, but I don’t remember anyone but the site administrator having the authority to place post on the home page. So no one else can as you say “knock you down”.
Not our call, however, do not think it would be a good thing to simply have a free for all where anyone can post there without going through, in this case Mike. In the past ,most of the things that have received home page viewing/consideration have been major announcements about upcoming special events, race day schedules or special recognition press releases highlighting Colorado Drivers or Race Team accomplishments. Similar to what one might see on Ekarting News. Just our suggestion that everything else goes out on the general or organization forums, series/club websites or in a group/club email.

We trust Mike will resolve with a balanced and effective way, where all will once again have an opportunity to get all call applicable home page announcements.

    Have a Great Weekend!

I think what Stan is saying is all he does is post in the news section of the forum. From there I bet the software of the site takes the post and puts it on the home page. So technically no one is playing favorites it is just the software doing what it is programed to do. This would not be the first forum I have seen that does this.

I think you should post in the news section anyways. I personally never visit the home page I come to the main forum index page and see what topics have new posts read them and leave. So if you post something on the home page and not the forums I am one person that would never see the post. I am sure I am not alone. You have to go back to May of 2012 to see a post from someone other then Stan or Mike in the news section. Why are so few tracks not posting the news from their tracks there?

I guess I blew my cover!
Anyway, try it, it works for me!
All I am trying to do is keep the Colorado Karters in the loop when it comes to news.
    Actually, forums are “yesterday”
Today’s internet users are on Facebook, Twitter and insta-gram (I suggest you create accounts on all) as that is where the real news moves FAST!
Shelby manages my my Fasebook, Twitter and insta-gram accounts and every morning I get “what happing in Karting” from her in a matter of a cup of coffee
Create and use them, it is where the customers are!

    Respectfully,

    Stan

If my memory serves me correct, in the past, no one has had the ability to post on the news forum or on the home/front page with out submitting request through the site administrator. The fact is, we (PPKRC) have submitted a number of post request this season that never made it. No matter how you slice it, it’s pretty obvious as to why that happened. :zombie

    I’m out and moving on.

Folks, Mike has contacted us and we are working with Mike to resolve the issue. Mike, thanks for responding to Eddy and hope this gets worked out soon. Mike thanks for posting on the front page and we hope that the front page is use for important news not just random stuff that should be on each of our own websites or news feeds. Lets keep the Main page what it was set up to do to, make major announcements and direct drivers to our respective sites within the Colorado Karter or the Organizations Website’s. Let’s continue to support Mike and his efforts to admin the Colorado Karter and respect each others Postings and their significances to the karting community. No need to use the front page for general stuff. The Colorado “Needs to be available to everyone”, every track, every organization and every driver. We need to be respectful of the information being posted on the Front page and use it wisely. We as a karting community need to mindful of what we post at times and be a little more thoughtful before we jump in on a thread without knowing all the details of a particular issue. A private PM or a phone call to someone might be more appropriate to discuss a matter or to get more information about a issue. If you tried all these then go for it, like we did.

Mike, thanks for the work that you do and lets work together to enhance the experience of users of the Colorado Karter.
