Participantto answer the question…
Yes, it is a direct drive only when we have a spin or such we can press the starter button to get going again…

ParticipantBitter party of one says I like the combined classes. The spectators sure did enjoy them too. And, I’d put them all on the same tires. So then there’s no words or excuses coming through the pack.
Scooter can’t get an appointment. Fu Fu, err, Max has all the doggie technicians working overtime…

ParticipantICA is what they run overseas and your comments are pretty spot on.
Besides, what’s not to like (from a spectators point of view) than a good kablammo…

Participantmy new mantra: sloooooooooooooooow hand, as in Eric Clapton…
Rick, you work well with beans too…

I still suck and lack consistency. Oh, and practice…A LOT.
Kirk, you lack consistency that’s all. But you’re getting much better. Although I think there is a correlation towards your improvement and getting rid of Orion, err, Mr. Porno Pants…
And practice makes perfect. Senna, Schummi, Prost weren’t fast out the box no matter what people say….

ParticipantGreat, more classes instead of less….
DD2 lite, heavy
4 stroke
Spec Honda lite, heavysounds like a lot of future boat anchors out there in the form of ICC, Rotax, Motori, Leapurd, Sonic, etc…

I agree with earlier posts. 4 stroke is the future weather we like it or not. The AMA Motocross race at Thunder Valley proves that. And I don’t want to hear about a seal… Harp, Elephant, Harbor or Rotax

ParticipantLearn to drive smooth first (TaG) then upgrade from there.
It’s like flying an airplane. They teach you to fly ONE engine first then you graduate into multi engine planes. Same principal.
And yes, there are many more TaG drivers than shifters currently. Although the Spec Honda class is growing each and every year.

ParticipantThen I wouldn’t have to eat so much skinless chicken and tuna.
This has potential!Mike Jansen
ParticipantAntoher engine in the fray and has good support here locally: Motori 7…
Fantastic flywheel, excellent pipe and carb, and the same weakness as the leapurd with the starter due to vibration. Plus, you can have engine worked on by your favourite engine builder instead of the Rmax service centers….
Oh, and it took a back marker in TaG Masters with no talent to P1 in a state race this year and P2 overall….

ParticipantRick,
I asked this question when I was selling my old rotax kart and I got the same answer that Doug got. As long as there was no alteration it is Rmax legal.
That being said, I’d double check in case something’s changed in the last 6 months, you’ve already got one DQ and you’ve come a long way baby…

ParticipantIs Motori in the fray? And if so, what head?

ParticipantI’ll make this short, sweet and to the point:
Internet is fine but belly to belly with racers is better. Y’all get your butts to the tracks and come up and introduce yourselves. Most of us don’t bite and we’d be happy to answer your questions.
There, I gave my .02…

You can get killed crossing the street
You can get killed coaching a baseball game
You could be a pilotWhen it’s your time it’s your time… IMO…

ParticipantRick,
Well said and I second it. I’m not driving at the Grands but I’m looking forward to volunteering and hanging around racers. See you all soon.

ParticipantMike,
I barter government cheese for tires and race entry fees. They no longer take it at the liquor store for martini fixings…
