ParticipantThis was a lot of fun last year, but this year the karts are much better! What time will the festivities be starting? I’ll be out of town on Saturday, but i can probably make it back in time for some racing action.

ParticipantThat’s awesome!

ParticipantWord on the internets is that the race is BACK ON (not like it was ever technically off, though). 🙂

Typical Bernie being Bernie. Whenever he wants to get race promoters motivated, he pulls this crap. Telling everyone ‘we don’t need this race, we have 36 other small countries waiting with contracts, etc’. He pulled it most recently with Korea and India, and he’s pulled it with Silverstone, Spa, Brazil, Hungary…
Unfortunately in this sport, you can’t believe anything until cars hit the track, and even then…
But I wouldn’t cancel your vacation time just yet!

ParticipantSo THATS where it went….ive been looking in the wrong place the whole time… :bang

ParticipantI went and did some laps in the new karts tonight, what a difference! Much more sensitive and tougher to get everything out of them. Just a whole heck of a lot nicer karts too. I’m headed out this wednesday for league night, but i still need to find about .3s…. :green

ParticipantBummed i missed out on it this year, sounded like a heck of an event (as usual)! Glad to see Abbasse win SuperPro/KZ2, he’s had a bad string of luck in the last few year, and was denied a couple really good finishes; guy is mega quick! CO rocked it in S5, huge congrats to Austin Schimmel and Ryan Rudolph! Sounds like Cory Milne had a good run in S2, and I was totally gutted for Sabre’ when listening to EKN live on Sunday, she drove great. S1 Championship for Kartworks/Daniel Bray. Tony did a great job backing up Rob ‘book it’ Howden on the mic for the whole event, that was pretty cool! One of THE motorsport events of each year, no doubt!
Pictures, videos, etc…….we need them. :~

Or a show of hands on who cannot make it.
I, unfortunately, can’t make it. Blew my racing budget for the year a long time ago. Very much wish I could, though. 😕

ParticipantWhat about lighting in the pits for those of us who haven’t, erm…’budgeted’ for a generator + tent lights?
Maybe i’ll just bring my headlamp?

This sounds fun! Looking forward to it…

ParticipantFriday is THE DAY (for me at least). Looks like they moved theatres from the Chez Artiste (originally planned) to the Esquire (@ 6th&Downing).

Been waiting a long time for this one…very excited to see it on the big screen! I’ll be at the 9:30p showing, any other karters coming out this friday?

ParticipantHeard a commercial for this on the radio today (97.3 KBCO)…pretty cool!

ParticipantJim said in the drivers meeting that he wanted some feedback on the track. The blisters on my hands have subsided 😉 , so here goes. I enjoyed the layout this year, and thought it made for some good racing. The deletion of the DANGER CORNER was a good move (even though it was a very exciting corner to drive…way too dangerous). I thought the re-profiled lot B was a good technical section, and as always, coming to race at the Pepsi Center on the old Denver GP grounds is awesome, but…
The track was so. damn. bumpy. (Much more so than last year, I thought). A little grinding could go a long way to make it a great track!
Was still a fun event (even though i couldn’t keep it off the barriers :bang ), and a HUGE thanks to the staff & corner workers running the event and enduring the heat. The corner workers were great on the track using flags and clearing incidents quickly. Seriously, thanks guys & girls.
Oh, and make sure to do something about the temperature, next time. Read 103*F in my tent on Sunday, yikes!

ParticipantThat’s a super bummer! 😐 Was looking forward to coming and watching some great racing, heard nothing but good things about the Pan-Am stuff.

ParticipantDang. Beat me to the punch! After I blew up my moto at Centennial a couple weeks back, i just decided to get a new one. So I figured i would do the financially “responsible” thing, and NOT buy two engines in a week! :rotate:
But i’ve got my eye on one for the near future. Reed valve’d Vortex ICA ca. 1999 (just before they went water cooled). You know the rules of the internets, Kirk…pics or it didn’t happen! What did you end up getting?
