ParticipantI agree to an extent, but this is niether Indy, or Champ Car – I think everybody agrees that the less classes / more consolidated everything is, the better race day is as an experiance.
I don’t know wether heavy / light is the way to go – I think a close look at the difference in times would be in order, but yeah – combining classes, I think, is a good move.
I still think qualifing on practice day (Saturday) is still something to look at, while maintaining time Sunday morning to get in at least one good practice session before racing begins.
just my opinion,
Gary

PS CO Karters. Back to the drop/no-drop math. When Angie releases the chart showing drops, tell me who really gets hurt. The ones going on vacation, or the ones going to each and every event.
If it’s a 9 race schedule and you choose to race in the CSC, then race all 9 or don’t complain about your championship being jepordized.Ok, Iv’e been scratching my head over this and still don’t see what the big deal is. The fast guys are still going to show it in there point standings in the long run. It seems to me, the better drivers are going to consistantly post higer scores – if EVERYONE drops there 2 lowest scoring races (including DNR’s), it’s still a level playing field right? The guys who turn out for every race (and they should be commended for that) are still going to be posting scores reflective of there level of driving.
Seems the dops free up the schedual for the karter – that’s all I see
ok, get out the flame throwers 😉
P.S. Just checked out the results after drops – I’m not seeing how the new math changes anything… Yes, if your gonna run a 9 race series – be commited to run the nine races – but it’s nice to have some flexibility for other things – this isn’t Indy here…

Participanthi Mitch,
Are you looking for a chassis to put your bieland on, or are you switching to a shifter class? Do you want front brakes or not?
Take it easy,

ParticipantThere’s got to be a magic line in there some where – how about 7 races total and 2 drops?

Please explain – I’m not tying to create waves, but just want to understand.
Thanks,

Ok, I’ve been scratching my head over this one – bounced around the site to see if there is anything listed as to what I agree to… maybe it was when I first signed up, I really don’t remember. Where are the rules for this site? Seriously, where is the mission statement / policys for discussion here. So far I’ve thought it was a pretty cool local site to exchange ideas / info / gripes / whatever – kind of thought of it as a place I could talk to others like I would at any track – is that not so?
And just for my understanding, who besides Angie, are the owners of this site?

ParticipantWas Rusty, the race director from what I thought, at the event?
Also, what was the turnout?

Participanthotwheels,
your not allowed to talk or think about this subject, or any other subject for that matter without it being in the acceptable list, having it approved, and edited before posting. I saw the post, but have forced myself to forget everything related. What do you mean China? I don’t see no tanks…
p.s. Thanks for the help at the track!
I’m off to go drink some coolaid now 😯

Participanthi Kirk,
Actually, it seems when the line gets hard – it doesn’t seal as well – this is really important in a pump around, and critical for the pulse line. If the line is not flexible / pliable – it needs to be replaced.
am i right?
fastg
Participanthi Rich,
I’m running a shifter with a pump-around carb (no floats). It’s really wierd – midrage totally drops off as if the engine totally dies, except if you go to full throttle, then you have full power – neither will get you through a corner properly. I’m thinking that my problem is more electrical – coil wires most probably but figured I would go through the fuel system as well.
So, is there NO fule line that doesn’t harden?? I would rather pay more for that, than have to replumb the thing 3-4 times a season!
Thanks for the input!

ParticipantWould this be for CSC events as well? My weight is 415 right now, and while I plan on getting my weight under 400, I can’t see the kart handling properly @ 420+ Any comments on weight v.s. handling? I’m not so keen on adding more classes – personlay, I can go without a trophy while I work up the ladder.
Thanks,
Gary

Participanthi Roger,
I don’t think I have met you, hopefully I will sometime… Give me your take on rules – I don’t think anyone is whining… How can you race without rules??
No rules = no race = no series…
So far (in my opinion) the CSC has my money, and all we racers have is a new logo… Am I wrong? Or should I just sit here and be thankfull if / when the rulebook falls out of the sky for us little folks…
I hope when everybody starts asking “why is karing in Colorado in the state that it is?” (and you know they will) looks back on this thread…
Sorry – but I’ve been ready and waiting for something to come together – I’ve been very patient and willing to help… but nothing… this is not whining…
have a good one, and hope to see you on the track!
Gary
