    Hello to all.
I am checking for interest in a Stock Heavy Class.
With the growth of Stock and the direction it is heading, I am seeing if there is interest in a Heavy class.
I don’t want to just add another class, however, if the G1 guys are interested and the heavy senior drivers, please post or send me an e-mail.

I would consider weights of 365 for stock and 420 for heavy.

I know that Jack moved out because of weight, and I have a motor just to play with, but won’t race because of weight.
    Anyone elese out there?

Would still run the two together until numbers require a split.

    Race safe and fast today,
    Jim

I could run at 365 if I took all the lead off so I’m ok with it.

Would this be for CSC events as well? My weight is 415 right now, and while I plan on getting my weight under 400, I can’t see the kart handling properly @ 420+ Any comments on weight v.s. handling? I’m not so keen on adding more classes – personlay, I can go without a trophy while I work up the ladder.

    Thanks,

    Gary

If you want to split a class, you should split up the 125 Novice and 125 Masters. Their is no way to tell who is winning in each class. Plus over 25 karts on the track at one time is way to many!!!!! These two classes have the highest crash rate of all classes right now. I wonder why?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Sorry, but I have to disagree with the numbers in the class. Club racing should start preparing the racers to learn to drive and race.
The regional series is the next step to hone your skills. Limiting the classes at a regional level is going the wrong way.
The SuperNats limit the field at 36 karts on a temp track.
20 on the track is only a good start, but a long way from a full field.
    my two cents…

Very true! In Norman, OK this year we had a total of almost 80 ICC’s entered in the class and 40 on the track at a time. 20 karts at IMI is nothing, that track could handle at least 36. The only thing that causes crashes is lack of experience. Like Jim said, at this level (the CSC), you should expect more entries in each class and more karts on the track. That’s just one thing that can’t be avoided. Plus, who wants to watch 4 karts on the track at a time when you can watch 20 or 30. It also looks good for anyone looking at getting into karting.

Have to agree that 20 is not too many karts.

At Rotax Nationals there were 36 karts on track for heats, pre finals and finals, it was a blast. You are always racing with somebody.

I believe IMI can handle 36 with no trouble as things get strung out quickly.
