I’m in the same situation as Rodney, I will plan to run a full season at SBR next year and support the Kart Racing for Hero’s events where ever Craig has them scheduled. Realistically, I do not know how a State Series will ever happen again without the support of the track owners, no matter what we do as a kart racing community (drivers, young and old).
Thanks to Scott and Lee for bringing up the topic, for me it wasn’t a negative thing to hear what others are thinking. I’m out for now on this topic.

ParticipantHey guys, if you have an old Easy Kart with no brakes, simply over drive the entry and dive in……….. 😆

ParticipantThanks Cris for being on topic and having the courage to say it publicly. Lots of good input here gents

ParticipantGood point Brad, however, what happen to the plan to run an all inclusive state series at IMI, GJMS and then PPIR, now SBR???? Everyone we talked with said they would support, however, when it came time to setting a schedule, we PPKRC were safety wired on IGNORE….received NO response????
No worries, in Colorado, SKUSA’s out except for those who have the resouces to do the road program. Appears many Rotaxians will be at The Track again and we will continue to work on building a program that seeks the all inclusive family karting crowd at SBR…. Conditions Normal in 2013. Hopefully, we’ll get to play at one of the IMI and/or GJMS events with Craig’s Kart Racing for Heroes.
The power base is in the hands of the track owners and operators, nothing will change until the kart racers make that happen. That’s why we (PPKRC) are limited to running a series at SBR. Which is not a bad thing. Thanks to Lee we have a home track now and those who have been down seem to like what we’re doing. Like many who keep bringing this subject up every year since the track owner fallout, we still believe we can mend bridges and get back to a great series like the old CSC, running at every track in the state.
Speaking for myself, like you, I would love to see us doing what we did in 2007/2008. All of us coming together, helping each other out, having fun running together at all the Colorado Tracks. But then again I’m a hopeless optimist, one of my personallity flaws.
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas,
Eddy

ParticipantConcur with Doug and Greg, if all you changed was the air box before having problems go back to your last good run set-up, i.e. get the air box back on. If all else fails suggest getting it to Greg. I ran Rotax in RMAX and TAG configurations 2006-2008 and had great success with Shockwave built and tuned Rotax’s. Recommend Doug and or Greg, they are amoung the best in the country when it comes to great Rotax performance and reliability.

ParticipantHello Greg
As you know Eddie Tseng, Lee Seigle and others running with PPKRC have been working with the 250 4 strokes for a few years now. It’s very cool to see Honda is the first to come out with a purpose built 4 stroker for karting. Obviously, we certainly would like to see this class/engine package grow in Colorado. Love to see a Greg Welch prepared prototype at SBR next year….
YAAAAAA WHOOOOO!!!!!! :jump

Although I was attending my sons wedding this weekend and was not able to be at the race, I believe I can speak for PPKRC members and Lee at SBR. Thank you for the kind words…… 😀
All in PPKRC and SBR have been working deligently on building a karting program that meets the needs of the Family kart racer. Fun safe and all inclusive program that doesn’t break the bank.
We look forward to seeing you all next year….

ParticipantHello Don
Please accept our apologies. I’m not sure Roger and the PPKRC B.O.D.’s knew that at the time the schedule was changed.
Good luck at GJMS to you and all the Sodi Racers. As you may know, PPKRC does everything possible to work with other tracks, clubs and series within the state to support all schedules. PPKRC racers frequently race at IMI, The Track and GJMS and last year we had racers with CJKC at Bandy in support of the Kart Racing for Heros event.
Again, best of luck to all the teams going to GJMS on 1 and 2 Sept. Be safe and have FUN! We hope to see you back at SBR Motorsports Park real soon.
