Angel’s post got me thinking…who’s all going to the USGP this year? It’s only about a month away! Sadly, it’s on the same weekend as the SuperNats this year, but I couldn’t pass it up.
I’m general admission all weekend, and shacking up at the (no doubt) lovely and luxurious MOTEL 6 in downtown. :money Anyone else going? Karter meetup?
October 19, 2012 at 3:28 am #65937Greg WelchParticipantSadly I’ll be at Supernats instead of this. Can’t tell you who yet, but a karter from CA we all know just might be racing a support class at this event!

October 19, 2012 at 7:22 pm #65939Cris SchuremanParticipantVegas for us.
It is a disappointment that out of 52 weeks in a year the Super Nationals and the USGP overlap.
The USGP is currently scheduled for the same weekend in 2013 and it will be a problem next year as well. Unless things have changed, SKUSA has a contract for the same weekend every year with the RIO and it is near impossible to change.
I hope I am wrong but I don’t have my hopes up for 2013 either or 2014 for that matter. You all have fun in Texas.

October 19, 2012 at 11:00 pm #65941Scott FalconeParticipant?????? Did they move dates or is this a miss print. Makes sense to have Nats the week after so that some of the F1 guys could stay and play in Vegas.
With the final stage of the 2012 Superkarts! USA Pro Tour series just around the corner – SuperNationals XVI on November 14-18 in Las Vegas, Nevada – the schedule for next year’s national series has now been confirmed. As the final plans are coming together to welcome another record-breaking number of drivers to the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino for this year’s SuperNats, the SKUSA staff has been working overtime to ensure that they can give the teams and drivers the chance to prepare for the upcoming season as well. The first step in the process is the announcement of the Pro Tour dates for 2013. Superkarts! USA is pleased to be able to release the confirmed schedule for the 2013 Pro Tour:
Superkarts! USA Pro Tour 2013 Schedule
SpringNationals – April 12-14
SummerNationals – July 19-21
SuperNationals – November 20-24The past three seasons have seen a growth at each and every event on the Pro Tour calendar, and 2013 should be no different. The SKUSA SpringNationals will be scheduled in April once again, moved up one weekend from 2012, staying off the Easter weekend and working around other events that are taking place during the month. The SKUSA SummerNationals remains on the same weekend as it has for the past three seasons, right in the middle of July. The SKUSA SuperNationals, which will be held for the 17th straight year in Las Vegas, is situated the week directly before Thanksgiving falling on November 20-24 in 2013.
October 20, 2012 at 3:46 am #65942Jon RomeneskoParticipantInteresting….surely it’s a misprint. No way so many people could change their plans made so far in advance on a month’s notice..
Anyways, it sucks the SNats conflicts with the USGP…i’m sure Bernie and Tom can work something out, especially since MSC had fun when he came out in ’09! 😆
October 20, 2012 at 2:27 pm #65943Scott FalconeParticipantThis is for next year not this year 2013 schedule. I think they are changing the schedule so there not in conflict with the F1 race. And again this would be a great idea so that the F1 fans could go to the race and the F1 drivers could possibly stay in the US and race in Vegas? I’m not sure of the F1 rules with the drivers being able to participate in a kart race like Vegas during the season. Dose next years F1 race in Texas fall on the same date as this year? If so than it would make perfect sence why Tom pulled this rabbit out of his hat. Not sure what’s going on but I hope it’s not a typo and that F1 drivers will have a chance to race In Vegas or at very least be able to attend it would be great for karting. Not to mention we won’t have to pick between Vegas or Texas. We can do both. -:)

November 9, 2012 at 5:48 pm #65946Eddy WyattParticipantAs much as I love karting, I’ll take F1 in Texas over SKUSA in Sin City……….
