Chris, drivers wrist bands are included in the entry. Crew and spectators are not.

    Thanks,

Now that is some funny stuff right there. Chicks dig rock stars and limos. Getting them up to the penthouse is another story however. Especially the big ones…. :burger

    Thanks Curt,
I did find some answers in there. It is a little muddy finding a direct link to rotax usage.
After a little searching here is the answers as well as I can find them.
    1. New $340 rear bumpers are needed. (unless I can find or make a wide double tube bumper that meets the specs, that I can’t find.)
    2. Old clutch is OK this year in rotax Tag masters class.
    3. Could not find rules about using the old ignition coils in rotax Tag masters for 2011.
    4. Old cylinder heads OK in rotax Tag masters this year.
    5. New style air box must be used for Rotax.
    6. Still don’t know if a rotax must have a passport and service center seals to race in SKUSA.
    7. The race director can determine if my appearance is clean enough to participate. LOL That one may be my biggest stumbling block..

    1. I will lift the full rear bumper rule for Regional races only. The way the TAG Masters race one another however is reason enough to hang a rail road tie across the back of your chassis.
    2. Cool
    3. Contact John Motley @ [email protected] He will guide you through your technical Rotax rules questions. Give him a few days to respond as he is working a Pro Kart Challenge race this weekend.
    4. Groovy
    5. Far Out
    6. See #3
    7. I was going to talk to you about that…..
I appreciate the fact that you are asking these questions now and will do my best to make sure all questions are answered about those pesky Rotax motors.

    Thanks Again,
    Curt

Is the region race 1 the week after Craig’s Event on fathers day? I will need some of them special tires for when I run at Craig’s Race and wonder if Stacey will have some available on sight the week before your event?
Do I have to have the new bumper, new clutch, new coil, new cylinder head, new air box, to race a rotax in SKUSA.
Can a non-sealed rotax race if it meets the rules for a rotax entry?
What is the date for the summer nationals?

    Rod,
The answers to all your questions can be found at http://www.superkartsusa.com under rules, and the rest under Mountain Region information.
If Stacey does not have any tires, call me. 303-241-8379

Rick, If the world is still spinning by noon let’s head over to The Golden Corral for our lunch before Bingo. I already said my good bye’s to Deb so I am good till 8 – 8:30. Then if we are still alive, I will need to say a good bye again…. :help

Gunter, how can you tell when yogurt goes bad anyway?

    Hi Curt,
I would be prepared to transport your Mazda to GJ, if you could find a way to include 4 stroke shifters into your programe, just for fun.
Ten weeks to the next PPKRC race, I cant wait that long.
    Gunter 😀 😀 😀

    Gunter,
We will be running a “Open Shifter” and “Open TAG” class along with the SKUSA classes at all SKUSA MR races this season. Your 4-stroke beasts will be allowed to run along with Built Motos, 80’s, 60’s, DD2’s or whatever creation Freezeman can pull out of his labratory. Same with the TAG’s.

SKUSA Classes will be by the rule book, all other motors will be run for fun. No points, smaller awards, open fuel, spec MG-SK tires, no weight requirement.

I will let you know on the Mazda. Thanks for the offer, and we hope to see you 4-strokers in GJ. Matt had a blast running the #15 for Eddy last Sunday. He said the wheelie on the hole shot was something different. Guess thoses MG-SK’s hook up pretty good.

    Tony,
You will be working something 8″ long, very close to your lips all weekend…. 😆

Hairpin’s are for real men, especially at that track. :crash

Stacey is correct, the “Woodstock” of Colorado will be hitting GJ the same weekend as SKUSA MR rounds 1&2. Lot’s of music fans will be trying to occupy the local hotels, so please get your rooms booked ASAP.

The pre-registration will open on-line next week sometime. Please Note: All racers and teams will need to contact the track for Pit Spot and Fuel/Oil reservations. SKUSA MR will not be selling either one of these on the pre-registration form.

    Thanks,
    Curt

    All,
SKUSA MR has locked down a copy of this movie, and a venue to show it. The details will be released later and the event will be held at the end of the season banquet, just before the SuperNats.
The venue seats just under 100 people, has an awesome sound system, screen & projection system, and a nice stage for trophy presentations. Drinks and food will be served by a catering company.
The plans at this time are: Networking, Drinks, Dinner, Movie, Awards and then the drawing for the Mazda ITA Spec Racer. Both Rob Howden and Tom Kutscher will also be on hand for this event as well.

I will release more information as it develops, but there it is as I know it today.

The MG-SK was a huge success in hot AZ at last weekends SpringNationals. This tire really held up well under the high grip, hot track, and fast circuit at Musselman.

Race tires for all SKUSA Mountain Region races will be provided as part of each entry fee, and practice tires are readily available now. Turn Key price of $212.00 delivered anywhere in the Denver Metro area upon request.

Regardless of what you hear out there, this tire is much different than the MG-FZ Yellow. Order your practice tires now and get your chassis settings before the first race in June.

    Order Information:
[email protected] or PM me here.
303-241-8379 will also get it done.

Please leave me a name and number so I can get back in touch if I miss your call.

    Thanks,

    Press Release:

Team HARDKart SuperTuner, Kirk Deason, is heading to Tuscon this weekend in support of Team Ziegler Racing’s new S2 star driver, Eli Ziegler. This will be Ziegler’s first race in the ranks of the fast senior drivers in S2.

When asked about their chances this weekend, Deason stated “Optimistically, we’ve got a top 30 kart in the 30 driver field.”and “We’re looking to improve on our experiences gained in November at the Supernationals where Eli finished a strong 10th in a very tough S5 group of drivers.”

When this reporter approached Eli, the driver was looking for a large rock with which to hit his tuner and had no comment.

Deason then continued to ramble some stuff about the new MG whites opening a new tuning paradigm or something but this reporter had walked away in search of Jeff Field for some REAL insight. Deason added “I’m just here to beat Field!” as a large rock flew past his head.

Did that rock say MOJO on the side?

Thanks Angie. Pretty impressive list of people heading out of town in a tuff economy to say the least. There will also be some CO Karters working behind the scenes with Kim Kistler in the Tech compound, Debbi Kistler working the registration table, several tuners and mechanics are already there, and word of some additional folks coming out just to watch the racing.
I am looking forward to working with Alan Rudoulph and Terry Bybee on the track, and making sure the event is ran safe, competitive and on time. It is unbelievable how much work really goes into these events on both sides of the fence.

I will attempt to shoot updates and pics back if I find the time. The event can be listened to at http://www.superkartsusa.com and followed on http://www.ekartingnews.com discussion threads. Dial us up and root for the home team.

Don’t forget that the next pro round will be at our own Grand Junction Motor Speedway in July. There will be a Regional race just three weeks prior to the SummerNationals at GJMS so we would like to welcome everyone up there to compete, watch, learn or just enjoy the sights and sounds of SKUSA racing.

    Take Care,
    CUrt Kistler
