ParticipantI really enjoyed the weekend and the track was a lot of fun to drive. The spectating was also excellent. The flaggers at the blind corner did a great job. On at least 3 occasions an incident happened just seconds in front of me, obstructing the track, and the flaggers gave adequate warning.
All of the staff were friendly and helpful.
My friends and family all enjoyed the event. And the prize money was an unexpected surprise.
Thank you,

ParticipantHi,
I’ve exchanged emails with Tammy Jacobellis. We still need more items for the fundraiser, which is coming up this Sunday. Help is also needed with supplying food. Please contribute if you can. You can contact Tammy at [email protected].
Thank you,

ParticipantHi Jim,
On The Track website I see a race registration form for the Mile Challenge races but not for the Race the Rockies races. What’s the link for the registration form for next week’s race at GJMS?
Thanks,
Charlescgordon
ParticipantI’ll be there in Spec Shifter (Heavy).

ParticipantTroy,
Sorry, I couldn’t help it. But I’m almost as old as Vito, so I can say anything I want and get away with it.

ParticipantJim,
Ditto on getting rid of the culvert.
Mike – they don’t have to worry about you coming towards them. You did a pretty good job of steering while going backwards. I guess practice makes perfect. 👿

ParticipantHey Rich,
After working with corporations for so many years, I have learned to suck up really well!
It’s been a long winter, I’m glad to hear any news about what’s happening in karting. Looking forward to drving soon

Thanks for the update. I’m glad to hear that the new track and the details for the CSC and the IMI series are moving ahead. Sounds like you’ve been busy.

ParticipantHey Craig,
I’m glad to hear you’re still racing. Sounds like you have a good group of karters up there. Go out and get one of those new Rotax clutches!

ParticipantHey Rich,
Here’s another question – when are we going to see the final version of the rules and classes for IMI and The Track?

ParticipantRick,
Your post echoes much of what I’ve heard and also my own thoughts. We’ll still have the same number of karters next year (hopefully) but we’ll have 4 series instead of 2, not counting Rotax. Where will the racers I want to be running against be racing and how will I know before I sign up for a series? I like all of the tracks but I want to go where the best competition is. There’s the chance that everyone will be so split up that all of the series will have weaker competition.

ParticipantHi,
I just got back from California this evening. It was a great weekend of racing.
I ended up 6th out of a field of 12 Spec Honda shifters. Legate won and he was really quick. At least I beat all the older/bigger guys who normally run S4. Both of my races were really intense. I was very evenly matched with another kart and I was all over him in both races. I almost got him a few times, but to his credit he never made a big mistake.
Grange was a very nice track and very challenging. Lots of off camber turns. The first turn was really slow and I was braing from top speed and going all the way down into 1st gear. Lots of gear changes made for a very busy lap.
The night racing was really fun. The karts looked great and really fast under the lights. I hope we race at night sometime here in Colorado.
Everybody at Grange and in TriC was super friendly and helpful. The races were very well organized and ran one right after another. There were supposed to be about 200 karts and it sure looked like it.

ParticipantJeff,
It will be a pain to get down to 400 lbs.
