ParticipantIs Billet going to carry the MOJO tires for RMAX races? If not, is anybody else in Colorado going to sell them?

ParticipantTom,
I dunno – it seems to me like changing the cap or even the slide is a stretch of the term “jetting”. I don’t know who is right, but the fact that you, Doug, TAG Usa and myself have read this rule in different ways indicates this is a grey area. That’s why I asked the question in the first place. I hope that CSC gets a tech “goto” person from whom we can get definitive answers on questions like this.

ParticipantGreat! I’m glad to hear there is now more local help for us Rotaxians.

ParticipantDoug, thanks for the info on the carb. Tom, by carb top I was referring to the black cap that screws on the top of the carb. Some vendors have been selling a different top which allows diiferent slides in the Rotax Dellorto carb and supposedly also increases flow. I consider that illegal and apparently, from Doug’s comments, it is.
I’d love to see a Saturday RMax race at GJMS with the CSC. I would definitely enter that. Thanks for considering our ideas, Stacey.

ParticipantI’m interested in running some RMax races this year, so I’m interested in this discussion.
Also, since Rich brought it up, I would like to see a better definition of what “jetting” means for the TaG rules. Various people have told me that changing the slide, pilot jets, main jets, dispersion tube, and needle are all legal. I guess jetting could be intrepreted as any of those things. However, some vendors tried to sell me carb parts (that I refused to buy) last year that I would definitely consider illegal since they involved modified carb body and top parts. What exactly is legal?

ParticipantI bought my helmet (KBC VR-1) at Helmet City. It’s got a Snell 2000 sticker.

They’ve got a good selection at decent prices and were very helpful over the phone.

ParticipantRich,
I’m looking forward to seeing your trailer, too. I’ll be jealous while I’m loading/unloading all of my stuff out of my van.
What kind of kart did you get?
You and Mike will have some good racing going on behind me.
😛

ParticipantTom,
I bought a new Birel R32 from Andy Seeseman at Full Throttle Karting. Andy put it together for me so I was able to drive it for a day at Moran when I was in Calif in December. Great fun!

ParticipantRich,
The kart’s ready to go and I’m going to start testing as soon as the weather gets decent. Let me know if you’re going to the track.

ParticipantCongratulations Jim. Good luck with everything. It will be great to see the new track.

ParticipantI greatly enjoyed the July 4th race this year, so I’d like to see it continue.

ParticipantI would prefer to spend money with local shops rather than out of state. I have used Shockwave, IMI, and KSD. However, Andy is a personal acquaintance of mine, he does a good job, and he’s a Birel dealer (I run a Birel kart). So, it’s natural that I do some business with Andy.

ParticipantI’d like to see 20 lap TAG Master races too.

ParticipantTom,
I get my engines rebuilt by Andy Seeseman at Full Throttle Karting in Orange, CA. I’m buying a bunch of stuff from Andy, so I had him do both my engines. He’s very responsive and can get motors back to you quickly if you need them.

ParticipantI’d love to come out, but my motors haven’t returned from their rebuild yet.
