ParticipantNo longer looking for trades. Will sell for $25000. Just had new M030 ROW suspension installed by Dirk Specovious.

ParticipantThanks for the offer Eddy. Hope to make it out there next season. We just got the kart up and running and my son is just getting up to speed. Wish it was closer as it is a 6 hour drive one way to the Denver area. It is a 2 hour drive to get to GJMS. I’m out in the boonies for sure. I’m all on board with the Duro tires, but I bought a new Margay Brava off of EBay and had no choice of wheels and tires. Stuck with what it came with for now. Figured they would be fine for practice for now. If we do make it over the hill, I will definitely give you a ring. Thanks again, Richard

So in talking with Stacy, maybe you could post LO206 info specific to racing at GJMS on the GJMS thread. :type:
What little info I have is now posted there. No body replies. I have had a post there for days with no response. They have no forum of their own. Web site has minimal info. No response messaging them in Facebook. Came here hoping someone would see it and answer some of my questions specific to that club/track. Would be great if every track in CO/UT would adopt the same rules for L206, if they don’t already. would sure make things easier for everyone.
My post was the 1st one there since last fall too. Obviously not utilized by anyone. Seems that there are basically no really active forums in CO for karting. I have been posting on here to get most of the info I have pertaining to specifics for this area. Has been very helpful so far. Just hoping to get more answers before the next race.

ParticipantYes, saw the info for the front range tracks. Stacy gave me a good start point for gearing. I have not seen any info on L206 for GJMS specifically though. If I were on the front range there would be no questions issues with what would be legal. I know nothing about GJMS club racing other that race dates and start times.

ParticipantThanks for the reply. Wish I could make it out there, but it is just too far. Hope to make it out there next year for a few races. With the current cost of running 2 stroke, the LO206 needs to be promoted as a cost effective entry level class. I see that SBR track is promoting a race ready Ignite LO206 package for under $4k along with a series for these karts. Seems like a wise thing to do to get more people into it. Would love to have TaG karts, but would realistically need to budget $10-15k to get started and run for a season. So far, we have run 2 practice days with the LO206 and it has been great. Got a completely new chassis and engine for under $3k.

ParticipantThanks for the info. Unfortunately I’m 6 hours one way from Denver. I ended up tweeking the frame by bouncing on the RF with the LF on a jack stand and my son on the LR. Scales out good for cross now. Just need to add weight to the left and towards the front. Should be able to get it spot on now.
Richard Gordon
ParticipantAny updates? Did you guys test different sized tires in addition to compounds?
Richard Gordon
ParticipantThanks for the info. Afraid that the chassis might not be completely square since the RF is lighter than the LF. I moved the seat about 1/2″ forward and left. Will see what that does. Also made sure the scales were completely level. Will weigh again tonight. Ordered some lead blocks too. I used to race cars and know how important weight and balanced handling can be. Figure since karts have less tuning tools on the chassis, it is even more critical to get the weight distribution where your want it. With the low and equal HP of the L206, handling is even more important to gain an advantage over the rest of the field.
Richard Gordon
ParticipantJust psi. Not sure what roll out Is? I was wondering about moving spindle height, but manual called for that to adjust weight 5+ lbs from LF to RF.
Note: I did check the circumference of the tires. The rears and front are real close to equal. I’ll double check though.
Richard Gordon
ParticipantAwesome! That is exactly the info I need.
Richard Gordon
ParticipantAnybody know how many L206s GJMS usually has? I haven’t actually been out there to watch yet. Hoping that this class grows like it has everywhere else. Might have to make a few trips out to the front range next summer.

ParticipantThanks for all the great info! Think I will be able to get close to that gearing with 17-56t gears. The clutch is tight on the shaft (not floating). It is actually the other housing that has the lateral movement. The inner bushing that slides over the crank shaft is tight up against the tapered washer and the outer housing has room to slide a few mm between the back of the bushing and the engine. Maybe it’s designed to do this? Might have the guys at GJMS look at it. Was going to have them align the gears and install a chain for me. The kart is a 2013 Margay Brava 4.11. It has the Bully adjustable seat supports. Doesn’t leave a lot of room for the chain. Running it inboard give me just enough clearance on the inside of the frame. Have had some financial setbacks right now. So won’t be able to do anything with it for a little while. Anybody want to buy a 2001 Porsche Carrera Cabriolet?
