I’m gone for Mother’s day weekend but I’ll be at the remaining races. I LOVE temp courses! Steamboat memories; Sam Walls and AJ vs. Bobby Wilson….

Thanks Gayle. Rich will ALWAYS be in my thoughts as well as you.

I miss seeing him at the races, he didn’t LIKE Centennial but he never ever gave up and his smile was missing there this weekend. I know he was number one spectator…

they open at 9:30 but engines on at 10 I THINK
either way, that gives you time to set up your stuff, air your tires, warm it up on the stand and go…

    Hey All:

It was nice seeing # 51 up there on the stage, did Rich ever love that number! I teased him once I was goign to take it but he told me first I had to BE that old to TAKE that number! Does anyone have a photo of him without his helmet on? Rich’s smile is what I’ll always remember. Good to see the support for Rich there at the memorial service.

Rest In Peace Amigo, now you truly get to race with the greats!

Rich always raced hard; gave you an inch but never more than that. At the end of the race he’d take off his helmet, gloves and brace then have the biggest grin on his face while reliving the action on the track with you! That, you cannot put a price on! If you ever wanted a role model both on and off the track as a competitor then he was the one. I am going to miss track talk when we weren’t practicing or racing. And like Craig Mansfield said, he had a great inventory of parts he’d lend you so you knew you weren’t going to have a DID NOT START if Rich had the part!

I cannot imagine what it’s like losing a lifetime partner. Gayle you have my utmost respect and admiration for being there for him, you took your wedding vows seriously, especially the “in sickness and in health.” You lived it. My heart goes out to you and this new chapter in your life. Same for your boys.

    Dave,
the class entrants didn’t look big enough to change unless at the last second there are way more people signing up, hence the Viagra class.

Jansen a no show for the infield.

Jansen doing both SKUSA and Centennial Series. That’s only 8 races, the same as there used to be in the CSC back in the day. I do have to call Kistler to find out are we using the same set of tires in SKUSA for both Saturday and Sunday.

I’m (not) getting excited yet. Too darn cold outside and the kart is in pieces in the garage (for now)

Get used to seeing this helmet, but imagine it from the back side in TaG Masters.
    Let the abuse begin!

Scooter will appreciate it too. She’s ready to head there now! But she wants to see photos first.

    Curt,

I would love to be there and hear what’s happening with rules, tire requirements etc. Unfortunately I’m booked because I’ll be gone this weekend and back wednesday morning.
Hopefully all questions will be answered and posted for we who won’t be there.

Not owning a Leapord I have to agree with Doug’s assesement as being spot on. Spin to win and you’ll be in the shop a lot with rebuilds. Lean it too much and you’ll have a nice grenade. Ask the racers last year that popped their motors last season. At one race (I think) there were 5 or so kablooey’s…
