ParticipantIt’s a shame this type of forward thinking couldn’t happen now…… :bang

ParticipantI’m not sure how or why the previous post justifies a response………All I can say is I’m so glad we raced when Colorado had the strongest Rotax program in the country! With very little drama, unlike today :bang…..20 juniors and seniors running in separate races.
BTW……It doesn’t matter what Europe, Brazil, or anywhere else in the world is doing or done. I follow the USA rules.

ParticipantThe local racers, I believe, are good people and are not deliberately cheating, but rather don’t know to check these parts.
If I work any races going forward, I’m always willing to do a courtesy check for anyone.

ParticipantOkay, there’s no proof that the tubes are wearing out, this is total speculation. I know from working most of the Maxspeed events in the last 4 plus years is that tuners and some engine builders are buying hundreds of these tubes at a time trying to find the largest ones, we have also found some that have been drilled out.
Any emulsion tube that is bought should be checked……Dellorto who manufactures the carb doesn’t check each tube just like they don’t check each jet. These are not racing carbs and therefore are not built to a very tight tolerance.
The lesson learned here is it’s up to you to check each one.
Until someone can prove to me that they are wearing out I’m not buying it.
Don’t waste your time with something like this…..practice more and learn to tune your kart there’s way more speed to be found there then any emulsion tube or other bullshit engine gimmick!

ParticipantKirk…….Maybe no one wants to talk to you that’s why they don’t post their real name. Unfortunately, you know who I am but you never seem to take the hint that I hate talking to you :bang
Note: Have you ever wondered why I always give you the “finger” when I see you?
Mike Edwards
ParticipantWe and some others wanted to come out and race but were hoping to run the full track.
Mike Edwards
ParticipantGregg……..Why only half track?

ParticipantOk kid you win…..I’m not here to argue with you but I will leave you with this. I have seen the inside of winning motors from different teams all across the country and I will tell you there isn’t much difference in any of them. I agree there are cylinders, coils, carbs that maybe a little better from one batch to another but a good motor in the hands of a great tuner/driver will beat a great motor in the hands of an average tuner/driver every time. But like many in racing that believe it’s all about the motor and drink the kool aide from motor builders that say you need this or that in order to win is false, I’m not saying it may not help but it’s certainly isn’t the missing piece in most cases, it’s the total package that will win.
The motors I have for sale are good, fresh, motors. All they would need is an EVO package and go racing. Horsepower wise I’m sure there very close but I’m sure you don’t believe that.
Signing off….

ParticipantOh…Before I forget, I have 2 national level Rotax Senior motors for sale, $1500.00ea or $2800.00 for both. Both are fresh and ready to go, and I’ll throw in any spare Rotax parts I have as well.

ParticipantWait…..What? Denton Texas? No wonder I was the only one who showed up in Denton Iowa. 😮

ParticipantCome on Andy……You know I never sleep!

Participantjdavis-403…….
Here’s the deal. If those teams want to charge $2.50 or $250.00 bucks for someone to come play that’s there choice, stop blaming others for the high cost of karting there are many reasons and factors that play into that. Your continued bitching isn’t going to change that. Some would argue why would anyone spend 15k to race a 206!
There are some who are building a resume through karting and hoping to attract sponsorship to take the next step in racing, so winning a Rotax National Championship or World Championship will look much better on their resume than the 206 class champion in Denton Iowa.
And to your point about charging to practice…..If it’s all about growing the sport than I wonder why track owners charge $40.00 bucks to practice when they really shouldn’t be charging anything if there only goal was to grow the sport, correct?
Enjoy racing whatever package you choose but keep it fun and enjoy!

ParticipantThis almost kills me to say this but Kirk is right……About some of what he said. The $20 bucks is a great gesture and always welcomed, I’m not sure ugly fits I think weathered/rugged is more politically correct, doesn’t really matter because I’m not looking for a date! I’m actively in the “cut the overhead mode” in 2016 😀
Thanks Kirk for the profile
Mike Edwards
ParticipantJust kidding Kirk!……..
😛Mike Edwards
ParticipantThanks Kirk for owning “it” the exact problem I was talking about…….I didn’t want to name names but it was you that I was speaking to.
I’m proud of you!
