ParticipantThanks Dave and Kirk,
You never know how this is going to turn out. I’m glad we had the professionals do the job rather than me thinking I could do it with the equipment. Such small efforts for such a big gain. Surface is like new again…
Mobile PA kart up and running, flat screen monitor for scoring, new Dog Pound, no more culvert! Now if I only had more time to get all these new karts delivered and racers trained…
Happy to see everyone out last Sunday. Felt like a major race going on. Spring is here!

ParticipantBeep, Beep!!!
Jack was run over by me, Carolyn and Matt were the other drivers…
Fun shoot. Always great to get the calls when free TV is offered at The Track.
Glad you caught it.

ParticipantTroy,
Option A. They will run together. If you are getting punches for Rotax, be in Rotax trim.
Angle, you get the award for actually reading. Classes follow TaG USA rules.Tony, you have the option to race in
1) TaG Master, 125 spec heavy or 125 Masters. DD2 Masters is the age class that is a true “Masters” class within either of the two series. The only omission in the rules is front brakes. Allowed in TaG Senior and Masters without any weight change.
Thank you.

ParticipantTo clear thing up a bit…
A driver does not need both.
If you have a tuner, and would like their help in pre grid, or post scales, they will need their access card to get to you.
Thanks,
JimOn a side note, I’m very, very thankful for all the license holders we have as of today. Mike Edwards gets the prize of a free set of MG tires, because he signed up first with both driver and mechanic, bud did so within 15 min. of the site being live, and without any announcement from us.
I am at Kart Expo this weekend, and will be back Sat night.
Carolyn has all the information, and we are hitting the ground running.
Thanks again,

ParticipantGood morning, Scott.
Last year, we had a Rotax series only and called it the “Mile High Challenge”. I think, due to the distance and time for the Grand nationals, the turnout was lite. The Track at Centennial has re-named our club series the “Mile HIgh Challenge”. Our Rotax points races will have their own name and the dates, as well as the entry and the requirements for the GN’s will be posted shortly. (2 weeks max). You can count on the rules being RMax rules for those that wish to participate.
I will post the full details shortly.Hope you had a good New Year.

ParticipantHello,
I believe that Tag USA has the packages archived on their site.TaG USA has the regulations for heavy drivers.
We will post the “official” requirements soon, but you are safe with your assumptions.
A great holiday gift this year would probably be a transponder (you really do need one to race)
Happy Holidays!

ParticipantWhoops… sorry about that.

ParticipantSorry Eddy, You are just going to have to wait…
Let’s end 2008 by celebrating 2008, and not stirring the pot before the year end party…
Santa will have plenty of time to do his shopping…I hope everyone had a great Turkey day and is getting ready for the rest of the Holiday Season.

ParticipantHi all,
Why doesn’t everyone quit worring about 2009, and plan on going to the awards party Saturday night and enjoy the rest of 2008?
See you there,

ParticipantRoger,
AWESOME!!!! You have been there from the start with our karting. And an awesome teammate in the 24 hour race, and Founding member of The Dog House. Hope you are recovered to do it all again, as well as jump back in the race stuff…
Don’t forget to look at the DD2. Serious growth out of sight and growing this winter getting ready for next season.Too bad Vito’s memory has gone, or he would know who you are.
Numbers are looking better for the coming year…. Can’t wait!!!
Welcome back!!!!

ParticipantBroken nose cone, broken front wing, no Jager machine…
Sure, why not…
Actually, it is on display at The Track for all to see. Still, what a fun event the soap box was. Two of us are already planning for next years, wherever it is!!!See you on Sunday, open track until noon, then we will start the gridding…Transponders optional…

ParticipantI felt that the discussion was really about promoting the club level racers. Rob was discussing how much time was spent only on the national program, and it was time to cover the local scene. That turned into the desire to add more classes. Now a new clone kart.
We saw the clone engine last for maybe an hour at the 24 hour race. The local racing series here had 70 – 100 entries. I think it would be great to “cover” the racing that is happening right now, and promote how great it is with what we are using. Used TaG karts sell for what the new clone sells for. There are options to keep it affordable, but the stigma of “new” always gets in the way.
To compare the cost of dirt oval racing to asphalt sprint racing is apples and oranges. There is always something “cheaper” to bring into the mix, so we really need to look at what is being used, in our area, at the club level as our reference point. The Track at Centennial has not raised prices since we opened. I feel that helps in keeping your costs down.
We all know that once you race any item, the costs will increase greatly, and the perception of those who have more are winning. That “perception” has not changed ever, however, it would be great to go back and have the national news and web sites just say “hi” and “great job” in the articles about all of us who are out each weekend trying our best all summer long!
My .01 worth…

Mr. O’Neil
As far as just two races??? Well, as it stands now, anyone can enter anything they want. I feel that you drive to the level of your competition, and The Track wants to be a little more comfortable that you can do it SAFELY. I want to know how I stack up against the best in my class, so Vegas is the race to find out. For the local racer, I want you to experience the level of competition and race to the best of your ability and be SAFE. It really doesn’t matter where you finish, just do it at a “regional” level of knowledge. Seat time and racing will get everyone to be the regions best!I hope this helps…
Jimps… Andy, thanks for wanting to be a “Hard Card” member…
