Going to try to bring the rotax or the shifter out, or both who knows. See everyone there.

Old and slow? If only you were old and slow when you were racing Keenan and I in Stock moto back in the day, would have made the season a lot easier! Watch out guys, if Rodger starts racing again, he will be a threat.

We are racers, we can’t get out of bed early!

We always run the k27 needle around here, the k98 has always been significantly slower for us. We also run it in the 2nd clip down just like my dad said. The problem you described to me sounds like the normalities of a Rotax. With the hairpin at Centennial, its all about getting the low RPM up. In the CW direction it should be around 7500, and around 7200 in the CCW. As long as your above 7 it will pull great.

As a side note to what my dad said… for us to be able to re seal the engine, it has to have been sealed before hand, and have one of us there to see the seal be cut.

    They have three options,

Junior 1 k80 age 8-12, with the club Rick mentioned, with options for out of state racing, and the largest of the 3
Mini Max age 9-12, the fasest of the 3, with options for out of state racing
Junior 1 Honda age 8-12, runs in the CSC, class only run in CO but pulls decent numbers

At 12 is the transfer year between cadet or full size karts, they can go either way. Our shop (Shockwave Karting) runs karts in all 3 classes, call me at the shop and I can go over everything in detail with you.

Its just a 9mm deep socket to re tighten that tube. I know the Craftsman deep sockets don’t work because the socket won’t clear the length of the tube. I would just head to a tool store with tube in hand and find a socket that will fit it.

A good place to start would be 12/77 downhill 12/78 uphill.

Well one day he sprayed himself in the eye with it…

It didn’t have a warning label on the can to tell him to not shoot yourself in the eye, rather to shoot it onto what you want to lube.

Now he is going to sue the grease for the embarassment and pain it caused him.

From what I have heard, Ethanol can cause corrosion with aluminum and as all of our karting engines are aluminum if that is true it does not seem wise. i know the reason we run race fuel in the first place is not only because of the octane, but also because of the consistency of the fuel. For tech purposes a fuel has to be exactly the same with no additives or it depends on what day you bought the fuel if you got a good batch or not. I know 91 octane pump gas will actually make a Rotax run faster, but it has lots of additives that make it illegal for kart racing purposes. Hopefully they will keep a tight eye on fuel this year, as they started to do last year. Any one else with comments?

Jeff is correct. If I had any other weekend to do it then we would for sure go right ahead, but for the next two months my weekends are booked. I also would like to do it before the first race of the year so we can all hit the ground running come race season.

If you would like to go for it, still bring your karts and we can head out to the track when we are done at the shop. I will try and work a day here sometime where we can do another on-track day if Saturday does not work out.

note we do only have 3 50mm rain sets left before they are gone forever, get them while they are hot.

For classes that are run by themselves on the track, why aren’t number colors white background so we can use our numbers in somewhere other than here?

Hmm, I kinda doubt Alfa Romeo was smart enough to do that, they seem to mess up a lot of things. Pretty much every component of the engine that can be aluminum is. I’m just going to stay away from it just for fear it could damage it over a long period of time.
