There is nothing going on, GJMS races will count for CSC points. If you have a question about their race you can call Stacey or me if you have reservations about going. The post was taken down because this is not the place to be trying to create trouble when none exists.

    No control, try Depends!

That was from the Outer Limits.

There were actually more than one Twilight Zone intro:

You’re traveling through another dimension — a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That’s a signpost up ahead: your next stop: the Twilight Zone!

You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension: a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You’re moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You’ve just crossed over into… the Twilight Zone.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call “The Twilight Zone”.

There is nothing wrong with your computer. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission. If we wish to make it louder, we will bring up the volume. If we wish to make it softer, we will tune it to a whisper. We can reduce the focus to a soft blur, or sharpen it to crystal clarity. We will control the horizontal. We will control the vertical. For the next season, sit quietly and we will control all that you see and hear. You are about to experience the awe and mystery, which reaches from the inner mind to – The Outer Limits.

There were only a couple turbo Bilands built and there was quit a bit of plumbing. You would be better off buying a XR-50 if you want the most power. The XR-50 is capable of producing 65 hp without a turbo with just a few changes to the ignition and carb. Most of the people interested in buying one just want a very fast, easy to drive, highly reliable, 300+ hours before rebuild, electric start engine that will beat anything on the track if they could drive it. It would be nice if we had ten people that wanted to race them, and then we could talk about making a class.

I know of four karts that bend from driving and not hitting anything: the Margay Concept kart (70’s) the old Yamaha kart (74?), dino karts ?, the 25 karts Kelly Bowen built (2001-2002). All of the Birel’s were crashed in one way or another. Cole did a 2′ drop off the back of a kart in Greeley, Tate plowed the bales at Greeley and had contact on the others, Charles hit something? They do bend back with less pressure than most karts but stay where you set them. It could be the tubing from the heat treat or the wall thickness. I always tell everyone that the tubing was much straighter than that before the kart manufacturer got to it.

If you ran into the bails it won’t be straight!

I think Kurts plan of waiting until later worked great. His report was on the front page of EKN all day!

Birel’s also bend, I straightened Coles, Tates for the forth time and probably Charles for the second time. They do bend back quite nicely though.

I could take the Honda engines home on Saturday nights but I usually have five dogs to take home. I don’t know where you got your information but no one took any engine with them. You are one of the reasons I had to go to the Honda’s, thank you for enforcing my point and supporting the program.
