There is also an active thread on the ekartingnews forum, where the results of each heat will be posted before mylaps. RaceFanRadio.com has live broadcasts each day, too. Go there to see the schedule.

Off to the track for another day!

    Justin,
You don’t have to wait for the finals to see the first turn action. Almost every heat race has some. yesterday the smallest field was the Mini Max, with 20 each time. The DD2s had 35, and the rest 25-30. come on out to the Dog Pound and see for yourself.

As for workers, thank you to all that have come out, we have Sergio, Angel, Mike Edwards, Tony, Mike Jansen, all jumping in to help. My mom and her husband are working the scales. A few more showing up for today and tomorrow, but room for more. A couple of strong quick bodies for Parc Ferme would help speed the process. We have been right on schedule except for the Wed rain delay – 30 minutes for the switch to rains.

Whether the pay is good or not, it is definitely awesome to be a part of such a big national event They could still use a few more people, especially those who can be track corner workers.

    Jeff,
Congratulations on a very good first race day!

You did miss the lap when you were in the pits because the scoring loop doesn’t (at this point) go through the hot pit lane – it should. Sometimes I catch it and add the lap in, but the system shows that you came in on lap 11, and also missed lap 12, then I got you back for lap 14, but not 15 (see the attached screenshots to see it). Looking further, I see that your transponder does have a weak signal. Not like a weak battery, but maybe interference due to where it is mounted. On the sidepod is good, keeping it away from any metal if possible, and it usually works best if it is in a vertical position. If you look at the screenshots from the scoring system, and look at the Hits column, you will see yours highlighted in yellow, and a very low number compared to others. That is usually due to the mounting position. It wasn’t low enough to actually miss laps, I have seen that happen, too. I didn’t notice that on Sunday, because I had the screen set up different to show the running order on more of the screen. Didn’t you go off in the infield on one lap, too?
Anyway, hope this helps explain how it works. Please feel free to come over to timing/scoring and ask if you have questions like that on race day!

Justin – that is funny. Good luck getting Ken to a tattoo parlor, though, your chances there are about as good as getting his ear pierced. And I wouldn’t count on getting him drunk to do it. He isn’t likely to have a repeat of GJ any time soon. :oOo :drink

Kirk – your daughter was no trouble. She is a character, for sure, but a joy to have around. She stayed away in the morning rush when I asked her to, and when she came back, she asked to make sure it was OK to come in. Who could say no to that! :star

Rick – You are welcome! I should have the points updated in the morning ( I know you are all checking!) :type:
