OK, Don… I fixed it. I won’t go into the formatting that I have to do to get the results transferred from the scoring software to upload on the site. I will try to be more careful next time.

Are you guys doing the CSC? Have 2 signed up in that class so far – need more!

TaG USA rules state ” If a TAG heavy class is not offered, a 200 lb + driver may run Master if he or she is 15 years of age and he or she weighs 200lbs (minimum) on race day.”

There isn’ t designated ratio…. and the fuel is your choice of C12, MS98, or MS93. The oil is RC3 or RS7, again your choice. You will have to buy fuel and oil with your entry, and you will have to declare the fuel, the oil, and I believe, the ratio, that you are running. This way everyone has the same opportunity to choose the fuel / oil combo that they want. (this allows for the Rotax to run the 93, and the other TAGs to run the 98 )

You should come prepared with a CLEAN if not NEW fuel jug, or one that you know has only had the spec fuel you are running in it. This will help you to avoid any possible chance of it being contaminated with anything that might cause a DQ. If you have one that has been used for various fuels, you are taking a chance. Better be safe and get a new one for only the new spec fuel you will be using.

If you are planning on cheating with fuel, don’t bother…. the CSC is prepared this year, and will catch you.

    Hope this answers the question,
    Angie

Please, be sure to drill the holes for a zip tie to double secure the transponders. The track owners are nice enough to let us use their transponders without a rental fee. The zip tie will be required, and the cost of damaging a transponder will be high.

    Thanks!

    2. Angie – What happened to the original post that spec’ed the gear at 78? It seems to suddenly be missing? This was presented as a done deal last week not as a test this week? The 78 gear was based on a resonable calculation with a guiding purpose not the passing “feelings” of racers or managers who do not have any of their children running in this class.

Scott, the original post is under Q&A for the Race Director
    http://www.thecoloradokarter.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=1262&start=20
I thought it was agreed, but am sorry to say that I was wrong 😳

and the class purpose is on the Rules page… http://www.coloradosprintchampionship.com/kidkartrules.htm
    this is what is says….
    Class Purpose
The Kid Kart class is an entry level racing environment which primary purpose is to offer a safe, fun, and educational experience for its participants. This class serves as an opportunity to train and teach beginning drivers, and their parents, about proper event procedures, safety rules, racing etiquette, driving skills and sportsmanship.

Scott, I do not think that the personal name calling and accusations belong here on this forum. Some of the things you brought up are total rumors, and it is not fair to bring it up on a public forum. I have deleted your post because of this. You are welcome to repost your ideas WITHOUT the personal digs. I have tried not to moderate on this forum, and let people say their piece, but with this I have to draw the line.

Let’s try to keep this conversation constructive to the class. I think there have been major steps in a good direction for the Kid Kart class. Now we need to get to the track and see how it goes. We can all discuss this reasonably, like adults. Remember the class purpose and what we want to teach our kids. That includes our behaviour off the track (like at the drivers’ meeting).

As to what the gear will be at the first CSC race… it will still be announced next week, by our Race Director.

I hope everyone is planning on attending this first IMI race!!!

    see you there.

Since making many changes to the Kid Kart rules, and going with a spec gear, the next thing was to choose which gear. Right now, the idea was to get the speeds in the ball park of what the rest of the nation is doing. We were going to start with the 78 – wanted to use it at IMI this weekend – to get an idea if it is close, or if we need to change it. So, you are right, it might need to be looked at per track. The 78 was just a starting point.

Look for the actual gear for the first race in GJ to be declared next week. If you have information that could help determine what it should be, maybe you could email Rusty.

    Thanks,
    Angie
