Ekartingnews seems to have the best reports.

You missed a few Colorado karters. AJ Whisler is from GJ’s RBI team.
The Junior 80 class has four Colorado boys – Alex Doman, Mitch Cobb, Levi Roberts and Dale Kistler-Collins!

Best of luck to all! I look forward to hearing a great report when the weekend is done!

Stacey, there was a recent “clarification” to the K80 rules. As of July 13, they MUST run an airbox. Due to the 30 days procedure of SKUSA, your race falls before that date, so technically, unless you require it as a track owner, they do not have to run the airbox. The remaining 3 events there will be no question.

My mistake, too, just noticed that I did not post this notice on the CSC site rules page.

It has been brought to our attention that there is a contradiction in our rule book. Specifically under Comer K -80 rules regarding air filter usage. As a general rule Superkarts! USA wishes to have all classes running approved intake silencers. After contacting IKF, the originator and partner of the Comer K-80 rules, they informed us they are enforcing use of the air silencer in this class. In order to maintain rule continuity and clarify our induction silencer rules for JR1, the following updates are being posted.

Effective thirty days of this release (July 13, 2005) JR1 rules will read as such.

20.3.8.12 Engine Additions: Conventional Starter nut is legal. Engine must be run with supplied clutch and muffler. NO exhausts leaks permitted. All must be as supplied with engine and all subject to tech.
20.3.8.14 Induction silencer: Must use approved induction silencer with maximum of two baffles each not to exceed 23mm (.905?) in diameter and 95mm (3.74?) minimum length.

    Thank You,

Well, Mike, I am still confused. The points look fine to me. Keesling in 12th with 211, and Warrington in 13th with 189. Maybe your page didn’t load all the way? Try refreshing the page. If not, guess you will have to explain it better, cuz I just don’t see it!!

Sorry, Mike, what do you mean by 12 and 13? Laps on the lap chart? I just see the 13 missing, along with some other numbers, but the graph shows all laps.

Brian, Good point. You can use the Maxima 927 or the VP RC3 for castor oils. It looks like Stacey copied the info from his first race. I believe they carry the 927 also, so you should be able to get either. I will check with Stacey.

I knew that I would be in trouble for posting anything before the points were posted 😳

Curt, ask and ye shall receive….. http://www.coloradosprintchampionship.com/pointsmain.htm

Mike, go to http://www.mylaps.com and look along the left side for a “Register” link. Let us know if you get any additional info that way.

I am excited about it. It makes posting results very simple and quick.

If you have your own transponder, there is more available. You can register so that when you log in to MyLaps, it automatically shows all of the events you have run in. I think you can upload a picture, too. Has anyone tried this?

Brian, you can run the conventional air cleaner at the IMI race on the 19th of June, and after that you will have to go back to the airbox.

From what I understand, the airbox was the intention of IKF, and therefore SKUSA, but someone forgot to take out the sentence about the conventional air cleaner. But since that sentence is there, then it will be honored for the 30 days until the update goes into effect.

Also, it was not an overturned DQ. There were docked positions/points, but not a DQ.

Happy Birthday! Wasn’t going to say, but June 3 was mine!
and two years ago this week is when I first created the forum on “thecoloradokarter.com” . Although it took a few months for things to get going with the discussions, I’d have to say it has been well worth the effort!

Sorry, Tom. We made it so that everyone that would be running two classed would be considered (including you). We were successful in getting at least one class in between for all, in some cases two.

In this case, if we made your suggested change, it would affect another driver. The other person considered is my son, Cole. He will be running his Mini Max and in K3. We finally have both karts going, and he has been practicing in both, and there is no way to do it back to back. One clas in between is all we have, too.
    Thanks for understanding

    Angie
